ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ تَعَوَّذَ الْمَرْءِ مِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ، وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ دُعَائِهِ لِنَفْسِهِ، وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ

[Machine] "O beloved mother, O Allah, bless me with my spouse, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and with my brother Muawiya and with my father Abu Sufyan." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, "You have invoked Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, for predetermined periods, fulfilled effects, and predestined provisions. Nothing can precede them before their time, and nothing can be delayed beyond it. If you were to ask Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, to save you from the punishment of the grave and the punishment of the fire." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about monkeys and pigs, whether they were among those transmuted or something else."  

أُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ اللهُمَّ أَمْتِعْنِي بِزَوْجِي رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَبِأَخِي مُعَاوِيَةَ وَبِأَبِي أَبِي سُفْيَانَ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ دَعَوْتِ اللهَ ﷻ لِآجَالٍ مَضْرُوبَةٍ وَآثَارٍ مَبْلُوغَةٍ وَأَرْزَاقٍ مَقْسُومَةٍ لَا يَتَقَدَّمُ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ قَبْلَ حِلِّهِ وَلَا يَتَأَخَّرُ مِنْهَا لَوْ سَأَلْتِ اللهَ ﷻ أَنْ يُنْجِيَكِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ النَّارِ وَسُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْقِرَدَةِ وَالْخَنَازِيرِ هُمْ مِمَّا مُسِخَ أَوْ شَيْءٌ كَانَ  

[Machine] "Umm Habiba, the daughter of Abu Sufyan. O Allah, bless me with my husband, the messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and with Abu Sufyan and my brother Muawiyah." The messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said to her, "Indeed, you have called upon Allah for known periods, allotted provisions, and inevitable consequences. Nothing of them will be hastened before its time, nor delayed after its due. If you had called upon Allah to grant you good health or sought refuge in Him from the punishment of the Hellfire or the punishment of the grave, it would have been better or more virtuous."  

أُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ اللَّهُمَّ مَتِّعْنِي بِزَوْجِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَبِأَبِي سُفْيَانَ وَبِأَخِي مُعَاوِيَةَ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّكِ دَعَوْتِ اللَّهَ لِآجَالٍ مَعْلُومَةٍ وَأَرْزَاقٍ مَقْسُومَةٍ وَآثَارٍ مَبْلُوغَةٍ لَا يُعَجَّلُ شَيْءٌ مِنْهَا قَبْلَ حِلِّهِ وَلَا يُؤَخَّرُ شَيْءٌ مِنْهَا بَعْدَ حِلِّهِ فَلَوْ دَعَوْتِ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُعَافِيَكَ أَوْ سَأَلْتِ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُعِيذَكِ أَوْ يُعَافِيَكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ أَوْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا أَوْ لَكَانَ أَفْضَلَ»  

"قَدْ سَأَلْت الله لآجَالٍ مَضرُوبَة وَأَيَّامٍ مَعْدُودَة، وَأَرْزَاقٍ مَقْسُومَة لَا يعَجِّلُ شَيئًا مِنْهَا قَبْل حِلِّه، وَلَا يُؤَخِّر مِنْهَا شَيئًا بَعْدَ حِلِّه، وَلَوْ كُنْتِ سَأَلتِ الله أن يُعيذَكِ مِن عَذَابٍ فِي النَّارِ أَوْ عَذَاب فِي الْقَبْر، كَانَ خَيرًا لَكِ وَأفْضَلَ".  

"قَالَتْ أُمُّ حبِيبَةَ: اللَّهُمَّ أَمْتِعْنِى بزَوجى النَّبىِّ ﷺ وَبأَبِى أَبى سُفْيَانَ وَبأَخى مُعاوِيَةَ فقَالَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ : إِنَّك قَدْ سَأَلْت الله لآجَالٍ مَضْرُوبَةٍ وَأَيَّامٍ مَعْدُودَةٍ وَأَرْزَاقٍ مَقْسُومَةٍ وَلَنْ يَجْعَلَ شَيْئًا قَبْلَ حِلِّه أَوْ يُؤَخِّرَ شَيْئًا عَنْ حلِّه وَلَوْ كُنْت سَأَلتِ الله أنْ يُعِيِذك مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَعَذَاب النَّار كَانَ خَيرًا وَأَفْضَلَ".
