[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said: "They would dig every day until they could almost see the rays of the sun, and they would say, 'Let us return to it tomorrow.' They would return and the hole would be even deeper than before. When their time was about to end and Allah intended to send them upon the people, they said, 'Let us return to it tomorrow if Allah wills.' They would return to it and find it just as they left it, so they would dig it and emerge upon the people." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The people would flee from them to their fortresses."  

عَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «يَحْفِرُونَ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ حَتَّى يَكَادُوا أَنْ يَرَوْا شُعَاعَ الشَّمْسِ فَيَقُولُونَ نَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِ غَدًا فَيَرْجِعُونَ وَهُوَ أَشَدُّ مَا كَانَ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَتْ مُدَّتُهُمْ وَأَرَادَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَبْعَثَهُمْ عَلَى النَّاسِ قَالُوا نَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِ غَدًا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ فَيَرْجِعُونَ إِلَيْهِ كَهَيْئَةِ مَا تَرَكُوهُ فَيَحْفِرُونَهُ فَيَخْرُجُونَ عَلَى النَّاسِ» فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «فَيَفِرُّ النَّاسُ مِنْهُمْ إِلَى حُصُونِهِمْ»  

[Machine] I have heard the messenger of Allah, ﷺ , say, "Yajuj and Majuj will be released and they will emerge upon people as Allah has said, 'And they, from every elevated place, they will descend.' The Muslims will take shelter in their cities and fortresses, taking their livestock and drinking the water of the earth. Some of them will pass by a river and say, 'There used to be water here once.' When there is no one left except those in a fortress or city, it will be said, 'These are the people of the earth, we have gotten rid of them. Only the people of the sky remain.' One of them will shake his spear and throw it towards the sky, and it will return to them stained with blood, as a trial and tribulation. Meanwhile, Allah will send worms that will enter their necks, like the stifling of a locust. They will all perish until there will be no sound heard from them. The Muslims will say, 'Is there any man who can go and see what these enemies have done?' One man will go and investigate, considering himself already martyred. He will find them dead, some lying upon others, and he will call out, 'O Muslim people! Rejoice! Surely, Allah has already given you victory over your enemies!' They will then come out from their cities and fortresses and release their livestock."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «تُفْتَحُ يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ وَيَخْرُجُونَ عَلَى النَّاسِ كَمَا قَالَ اللَّهُ {وَهُمْ مِنْ كُلِّ حَدَبٍ يَنْسِلُونَ} وَيَنْحَازُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ عَنْهُمْ إِلَى مَدَائِنِهِمْ وَحُصُونِهِمْ وَيَضُمُّونَ إِلَيْهِمْ مَوَاشِيَهُمْ وَيَشْرَبُونَ مِيَاهَ الْأَرْضِ حَتَّى إِنَّ بَعْضَهُمْ لَيَمُرُّ بِذَلِكَ النَّهْرِ فَيَقُولُ قَدْ كَانَ هَاهُنَا مَاءٌ مَرَّةً حَتَّى إِذَا لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ النَّاسِ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا فِي حِصْنٍ أَوْ مَدِينَةٍ قَالَ قَائِلُهُمْ هَؤُلَاءِ أَهْلُ الْأَرْضِ قَدْ فَرَغْنَا مِنْهُمْ بَقِيَ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ قَالَ ثُمَّ يَهُزُّ أَحَدُهُمْ حَرْبَتَهُ ثُمَّ يَرْمِي بِهَا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَتَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ مُخَضَّبَةً دَمًا لِلْبَلَاءِ وَالْفِتْنَةِ فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ يَبْعَثُ اللَّهُ دُودًا فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ كَنَغَفِ الْجَرَادِ الَّذِي يَخْرُجُ فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ فَيُصْبِحُونَ مَوْتَى حَتَّى لَا يُسْمَعَ لَهُمْ حِسٌّ فَيَقُولُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ أَلَا رَجُلٌ يَشْرِي لَنَا نَفْسَهُ فَيَنْظُرُ مَا فَعَلَ هَؤُلَاءِ الْعَدُوُّ فَيَتَجَرَّدُ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ لِذَلِكَ مُحْتَسِبًا لِنَفْسِهِ عَلَى أَنَّهُ مَقْتُولٌ فَيَجِدُهُمْ مَوْتَى بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ فَيُنَادِي يَا مَعْشَرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَلَا أَبْشِرُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ كَفَاكُمْ عَدُوَّكُمْ فَيَخْرُجُونَ عَنْ مَدَائِنِهِمْ وَحُصُونِهِمْ وَيُسَرِّحُونَ مَوَاشِيَهُمْ»  

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ woke up red in the face and said: ‘La ilaha illallah, woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn nigh. Today a hole has been opened in the barrier of Gog and Magog.’ And he gestured to indicate the size of the hole.” Zainab said: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! Will we be destroyed when there are righteous people among us?’ He said: ‘If sin and evil deeds increase.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3953)   

قَالَتِ اسْتَيْقَظَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ» وَحَلَّقَ بِيَدِهِ عَشَرَةً قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَهْلِكُ وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ إِذَا كَثُرَ الْخَبَثُ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This house (referring to the Kaaba) will be visited for Hajj and Umrah even after the emergence of Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog)."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَيُحَجَّنَّ هَذَا الْبَيْتَ وَلَيُعْتَمَرَنَّ بَعْدَ خُرُوجِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The Qur'an's verses came down on each other in succession, just like beads on a string."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «خُرُوجُ الْآيَاتِ بَعْضُهَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ تَتَابَعْنَ كَمَا تَتَتَابَعُ الْخَرَزُ»  

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "There will always be a group of people from my nation who will be helped and protected by Allah. Those who betray them will not harm them until the Hour is established."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَزَالُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي مَنْصُورِينَ لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ مَنْ خَذَلَهُمْ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ»  

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "There will always be a group upon the truth, who will not be harmed by those who oppose them, until the command of Allah comes to them and they remain upon it."  

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَزَالُ عَلَى هَذَا الْأَمْرِ عِصَابَةٌ عَلَى الْحَقِّ لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ خِلَافُ مَنْ خَالَفَهُمْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُمْ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَهُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ»  

I was in the company of Maslama b. Mukhallad, and 'Abdullah b. 'Amr b. 'As was with him. 'Abdullah said: The Hour shall some oniy when the worst type of people are left on the earth. They will be worse than the people of pre-Islamic days. They will get whatever they ask of Allah. While we were yet sitting when 'Uqba b. 'Amir came, and Maslama said to him: 'Uqba, listen to what 'Abdullah says. 'Uqba said: He knows better; so far as I am concerned, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: A group of people from my Umma will continue to fight in obedience to the Command of Allah, remaining dominant over their enemies. Those who will oppose them shall not do them any harm. They will remain ill this condition until the Hour overtakes them. (At this) 'Abdullah said: Yes. Then Allah will raise a wild which will be fragrant like musk and whose touch will be like the touch of silk; (but) it will cause the death of all (faithful) persons, not leaving behind a single person with an iota of faith in his heart. Then only the worst of men will remain to be overwhelmed by the Hour. (Using translation from Muslim 1924)  

فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا تَزَالُ عِصَابَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يُقَاتِلُونَ عَلَى أَمْرِ اللَّهِ قَاهِرِينَ لِعَدُوِّهِمْ لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ مَنْ خَالَفَهُمْ حَتَّى تَأْتِيَهُمُ السَّاعَةُ وَهُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ» فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ اللَّهُ رِيحًا رِيحُهَا رِيحُ الْمِسْكِ وَمَسُّهَا مَسُّ الْخَزِّ فَلَا تَتْرُكُ نَفْسًا فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ حَبَّةٍ مِنْ إِيمَانٍ إِلَّا قَبَضَتْهُ ثُمَّ يَبْقَى شِرَارُ النَّاسِ فَعَلَيْهِمْ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ  

[Machine] The Prophet Mohammad ﷺ said, "This religion will continue to be fought against by a group of Muslims until the Hour is established."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا يَزَالُ هَذَا الدِّينُ يُقَاتِلُ عَلَيْهِ عِصَابَةٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ»  

[Machine] Narrated Abu Huraira: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The Hour will not be established until the sun rises from its place of setting. When it rises and the people see it, all of them will believe. But on that day, faith will not benefit a soul that did not previously believe or earn good in its faith."  

حَدَّثَنا القَعْنَبِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا فَإِذَا طَلَعَتْ آمَنَ النَّاسُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يَنْفَعُ نَفْسًا إِيمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِي إِيمَانِهَا خَيْرًا»  

[Machine] He informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Hour will not be established until a fire comes out that will illuminate the necks of the camels in Busra."  

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تَخْرُجَ نَارٌ تُضِيءُ لَهَا أَعْنَاقُ الْإِبِلِ بِبُصْرَى»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A fire is about to emerge from prison, moving slowly like the pace of a camel. It will move during the day and hide at night. It will be said, 'O people, the fire has risen, so wake up.' Then the fire will say, 'O people, rest in peace.' Whoever catches up with it, it will devour him."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يُوشِكُ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ نَارٌ مِنْ حُبْسٍ تَسِيرُ سَيْرَ بَطِيئَةِ الْإِبِلِ تَسِيرُ بِالنَّهَارِ وَتَكْمُنُ بِاللَّيْلِ يُقَالُ غَدَتِ النَّارُ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ فَاغْدُوا قَالَتِ النَّارُ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ فَقِيلُوا رَاحَتِ النَّارُ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ فَرُوحُوا مَنْ أَدْرَكَتْهُ أَكَلَتْهُ»  

[Machine] "We accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and descended at Dhul-Hulayfah. Some men hurried to the city and spent the night there. When he woke up, he asked about them, and it was said that they hurried to the city. He said, 'They rushed to the city and left the women? Surely, they will leave her in the best condition she has ever been.' He then said to those who stayed behind with him, 'Do good to them.' And then he said, 'I wish my hair would be burnt by a fire, emerging from the direction of Yemen from the mountain of Warraq, lighting up the necks of camels as it descends in Busra, like the brightness of daylight.' Ali said, 'Busra in Syria.'"  

أَقْبَلْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَنَزَلْنَا ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَتَعَجَّلَتْ رِجَالٌ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَبَاتُوا بِهَا فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ سَأَلَ عَنْهُمْ فَقِيلَ تَعَجَّلُوا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ «تَعَجَّلُوا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَالنِّسَاءِ؟ أَمَا إِنَّهُمْ سَيَتْرُكُونَها أَحْسَنَ مَا كَانَتْ» وَقَالَ لِلَّذِينَ تَخَلَّفُوا مَعَهُ مَعْرُوفًا ثُمَّ قَالَ «لَيْتَ شِعْرِي مَتَى تَخْرُجُ نَارٌ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ جَبَلِ الْوَرَّاقِ تُضِيءُ لَهَا أَعْنَاقُ الْإِبِلِ وَهِيَ تَنْزِلُ بِبُصْرَى كَضَوْءِ النَّهَارِ» قَالَ عَلِيٌّ بُصْرَى بِالشَّامِ  

"The hour shall not be established until time is constricted, and the year is like a month, a month is like the week, and the week is like the day, and the day is like the hour, and the hour is like the flare of the fire." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2332)   

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَتَقَارَبَ الزَّمَانُ فَتَكُونُ السَّنَةُ كَالشَّهْرِ وَيَكُونُ الشَّهْرُ كَالْجُمُعَةِ وَتَكُونُ الْجُمُعَةُ كَالْيَوْمِ وَيَكُونُ الْيَوْمُ كَالسَّاعَةِ وَتَكُونُ السَّاعَةُ كَاحْتِرَاقِ السَّعَفَةِ أَوِ الْخُوصَةِ»  

Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us all of a sudden as we were (busy in a discussion). He said: What do you discuss about? They (the Companions) said. We are discussing about the Last Hour. Thereupon he said: It will not come until you see ten signs before and (in this connection) he made a mention of the smoke, Dajjal, the beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary (Allah be pleased with him), the Gog and Magog, and land-slides in three places, one in the east, one in the west and one in Arabia at the end of which fire would burn forth from the Yemen, and would drive people to the place of their assembly. أَشْرَفَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَنَحْنُ نَتَذَاكَرُ فَقَالَ «مَاذَا كُنْتُمْ تَتَذَاكَرُونَ؟ » قُلْنَا كُنَّا نَتَذَاكَرُ السَّاعَةَ فَقَالَ «إِنَّهَا لَا تَقُومُ حَتَّى تَرَوْا قَبْلَهَا عَشْرَ آيَاتٍ الدَّجَّالَ وَالدُّخَانَ وَعِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَيَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ وَالدَّابَّةَ وَطُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا وَثَلَاثَ خُسُوفٍ خَسْفٌ بِالْمَشْرِقِ وَخَسْفٌ بِالْمَغْرِبِ وَخَسْفٌ بِجَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ وَآخَرُ ذَلِكَ نَارٌ تَخْرُجُ مِنْ قَعْرِ عَدَنَ أَوْ عَدَنٍ أَوِ الْيَمَنِ تَطْرُدُ النَّاسَ إِلَى الْمَحْشَرِ»  

[Machine] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said, "By the one in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the Hour will not be established until obscenity and stinginess become prevalent, and the trustworthy are undermined, and the treacherous are trusted, and the lowly become leaders, and deceit becomes widespread." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, what are the lowly and deceit?" He said, "The lowly are the faces of people, and their nobles, and deceit is the people who were beneath the feet of others and their presence was unknown."  

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَظْهَرَ الْفُحْشُ وَالْبُخْلُ وَيُخَوَّنَ الْأَمِينُ وَيُؤْتَمَنَ الْخَائِنُ وَيَهْلِكَ الْوُعُولُ وَتَظْهَرَ التَّحُوتُ» قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الْوُعُولُ وَالتَّحُوتُ؟ قَالَ «الْوُعُولُ وجُوهُ النَّاسِ وَأَشْرَافُهُمْ وَالتَّحُوتُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا تَحْتَ أَقْدَامِ النَّاسِ لَا يُعْلَمُ بِهِمْ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Hour will come when their garments will not cover them, and they will not exchange them, and the Hour will come when a father will leave his son without feeding him, and the Hour will come when a person will have water in front of him but will not be able to drink from it, and the Hour will come when a person will lift a morsel of food to his mouth but will not be able to eat it."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَتَقُومَنَّ السَّاعَةُ وَثَوْبُهُمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَا يَطْوِيَانِهِ وَلَا يَتَبَايَعَانِهِ وَلَتَقُومَنَّ السَّاعَةُ وَقَدِ انْصَرَفَ بِلَبَنِ لِقْحَتِهِ لَا يَطْعَمُهُ وَلَتَقُومَنَّ السَّاعَةُ وَهُوَ يَلُوطُ حَوْضَهُ لَا يَسْقِيهِ وَلَتَقُومَنَّ السَّاعَةُ وَرَفَعَ لُقْمَتَهُ إِلَى فِيهِ لَا يَطْعَمُهَا»  

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ who said, "The Hour will come upon two men who have a garment between them that they are trading. Neither of them spreads it out nor folds it. And the Hour will come upon a man who has a morsel of food, but he cannot swallow it nor can he spit it out."  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ عَلَى رَجُلَيْنِ بَيْنَهُمَا ثَوْبٌ يَتَبَايَعَانِهِ فَلَا هُمَا يَنْشُرَانِهِ وَلَا هُمَا يَطْوِيَانِهِ وَتَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ عَلَى رَجُلٍ وَفِي فِيهِ لُقْمَةٌ فَلَا هُوَ يُسِيغُهَا وَلَا هُوَ يَلْفِظُهَا»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Among the worst of people are those who will be alive when the Hour (Day of Judgment) approaches, and those who make graves into places of worship."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مِنْ شِرَارِ النَّاسِ مَنْ تُدْرِكُهُمُ السَّاعَةُ وَهُمْ أَحْيَاءٌ وَمَنْ يَتَّخِذُ الْقُبُورَ مَسَاجِدَ»  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ عَلَى أَحَدٍ يَقُولُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ» *  

"The Hour (Resurrection) will not occur until 'Allah, Allah' is not said on earth." (Using translation from Muslim 148a)  

عَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى لَا يُقَالَ فِي الْأَرْضِ اللَّهُ اللَّهُ»  

The Last Hour would affect (most terribly) the wicked persons. (Using translation from Muslim 2949)  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ إِلَّا عَلَى شِرَارِ النَّاسِ»  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You will be gathered/purified just as dates are separated from their impurities."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «سَتُنْتَقَوْنَ كَمَا يُنَقَّى التَّمْرُ مِنْ حُثَالَتِهِ»  

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The righteous will pass away one after another, and the first to pass away will be the first until there remains only a handful of worthless dates and barley. Allah will not care about them."  

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يُقْبَضُ الصَّالِحُونَ أَسْلَافًا وَيَفْنَى الصَّالِحُونَ الْأَوَّلُ فَالْأَوَّلُ حَتَّى لَا يَبْقَى إِلَّا مِثْلُ حُثَالَةِ التَّمْرِ وَالشَّعِيرِ لَا يُبَالِي اللَّهُ بِهِمْ»  

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "The Hour will not come until a red wind is sent forth from the direction of Yemen, and with it, Allah will take the souls of every person who has faith in Allah and the Last Day. People will deny it, but in that wind, an old man from the Banu Fulan tribe will die, and an old woman from the Banu Fulan tribe will die. The Quran will then be lifted to the sky, and no sign of it will remain on Earth. The Earth will then return to its original state as it was created, with liver-like pieces of gold and silver scattered on it. After that day, no one will benefit from it. A man will pass by and strike it with his foot, saying, 'This is where people used to fight in the past, but today it serves no purpose.'"  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تُبْعَثَ رِيحٌ حَمْرَاءُ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْيَمَنِ فَيَكْفِتُ اللَّهُ بِهَا كُلَّ نَفْسٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَمَا يُنْكِرُهَا النَّاسُ مِنْ قِلَّةِ مَنْ يَمُوتُ فِيهَا مَاتَ شَيْخٌ فِي بَنِي فُلَانٍ وَمَاتَتْ عَجُوزٌ فِي بَنِي فُلَانٍ وَيُسَرَى عَلَى كِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَيُرْفَعُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَلَا يَبْقَى فِي الْأَرْضِ مِنْهُ آيَةٌ وَتَقِيءُ الْأَرْضُ أَفْلَاذَ كَبِدِهَا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ وَالْفِضَّةِ وَلَا يَنْتَفِعُ بِهَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ يَمُرُّ بِهَا الرَّجُلُ فَيَضْرِبُهَا بِرِجْلِهِ وَيَقُولُ فِي هَذِهِ كَانَ يَقْتَتِلُ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَنَا وَأَصْبَحَتِ الْيَوْمَ لَا يُنْتَفَعُ بِهَا»
