ibnhibban:6432ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad b. Salm > Ḥarmalah > Ibn Yaḥyá > Ibn Wahb > ʿAmr b. al-Ḥārith Wadhakar Ibn Salm Ākhar Maʿah > Yazīd b. Abū Ḥabīb > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Shimāsah > ʿUqbah b. ʿĀmir

[Machine] He heard Uqbah ibn Amir say, "We prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ one day, and he prolonged the standing. When he prayed with us, he lightened it, and then we did not hear anything from him except that he said, 'My Lord, while I am among them.'" Then I saw him leaning with his hand to take something, then he bowed, then he hastened after that. So when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished, he sat down and we sat around him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I knew that you would be concerned about the length of my prayer and standing." We said, "Indeed, O Messenger of Allah, we heard you say, 'My Lord, while I am among them.'" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, nothing which you have been promised in the Hereafter has been presented to me but I have seen it in this place of mine. Even Paradise was presented to me, until I was so close to it that its beams of light appeared to me, and I feared that it might envelop you, so I said, 'My Lord, while I am among them,' so He turned it away from you. It (Hellfire) turned away layer by layer, like a tent. I looked at it with a glimpse and saw 'Amr ibn Huthaan, the brother of Bani Ghifaar, reclining in Hellfire on his bow, and the black mare (a dark creature) was with him, the one that he had tied, and neither did he feed it nor did he release it."
