When we reached (Hudaibiya) in the next year (of the treaty of Hudaibiya), not even two men amongst us agreed unanimously as to which was the tree under which we had given the pledge of allegiance, and that was out of Allah's Mercy. (The sub narrator asked Naf'i, "For what did the Prophet ﷺ take their pledge of allegiance, was it for death?" Naf'i replied "No, but he took their pledge of allegiance for patience.")

لاَ بَايَعَهُمْ عَلَى الصَّبْرِ

This hadith is narrated on the authority of Abu Ya'fur with the same chain of transmitters, and he mentioned seven expeditions.

وَقَالَ سَبْعَ غَزَوَاتٍ

O My Son.

قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَا بُنَىَّ

Concerning the words of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime: "Seven of Al-Mathani (seven repeatedly-recited): "The seven long ones."

فِي قَوْلِهِ ﷻ { سَبْعًا مِنَ الْمَثَانِي } قَالَ السَّبْعُ الطُّوَلُ

[AI] Some of his children are mine.

لِي بَعْضُ وَلَدِهِ

[AI] In His saying "And indeed, We have given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses]", He said, "These are the seven often repeated [verses]".

فِي قَوْلِهِ {وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَاكَ سَبْعًا مِنَ الْمَثَانِي} قَالَ «هِي السَّبْعُ الطِّوَالُ»

Concerning the words of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime: "Seven of Al-Mathani (seven repeatedly-recited): "The seven long ones." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 916)

فِي قَوْلِهِ سَبْعًا مِنَ الْمَثَانِي قَالَ «السَّبْعُ الطُّوَلُ»

[AI] "In His saying, 'And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of the repeatedly recited [verses] and the great Qur'an' (Surah Al-Hijr, 15:87), it is stated by Al-Baqarah, Al-Imran, An-Nisa, Al-A'raf, Al-An'am, and Al-Ma'idah [chapters of the Qur'an]. It has been said, 'The seven long ones share resemblance.'"

فِي قَوْلِهِ {وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَاكَ سَبْعًا مِنَ الْمَثَانِي وَالْقُرْآنَ الْعَظِيمَ} [الحجر 87] قَالَ الْبَقَرَةُ وَآلُ عِمْرَانَ وَالنِّسَاءُ وَالْأَعْرَافُ وَالْأَنْعَامُ وَالْمَائِدَةُ قَالَ شَرِيكٌ السَّبْعُ الطُّوَلِ

[AI] Loyalty is not for sale.

لَا يُبَاعُ الْوَلَاءُ

The Prophet ﷺ sold a Mudabbar (on behalf of his master who was still living and in need of money). (Using translation from Bukhārī 2230)

لَا يُبَاعُ الْمُدَبَّرُ

"بِعْ وَقُل: لَا خِلابَةَ".
