Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If you want to put on your shoes, put on the right shoe first; and if you want to take them off, take the left one first. Let the right shoe be the first to be put on and the last to be taken off."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا انْتَعَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيَمِينِ وَإِذَا نَزَعَ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالشِّمَالِ لِتَكُنِ الْيُمْنَى أَوَّلَهُمَا تُنْعَلُ وَآخِرَهُمَا تُنْزَعُ

"When one of you puts on sandals, he should first put in the right foot, and when he takes off he should take off the left one first. And he should wear both of them or take both off."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا انْتَعَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيُمْنَى وَإِذَا خَلَعَ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالشِّمَالِ وَلْيُنْعِلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا أَوْ لِيَخْلَعْهُمَا جَمِيعًا

None of you should walk in one sandal; either he should wear the two or should take off the two.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَمْشِ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدَةٍ لِيُنْعِلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا أَوْ لِيَخْلَعْهُمَا جَمِيعًا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: None of you should walk with one sandal, but should wear a pair or should put off both of them.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَمْشِي أَحَدُكُمْ فِي النَّعْلِ الْوَاحِدَةِ لِيَنْتَعِلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا أَوْ لِيَخْلَعْهُمَا جَمِيعًا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: When one of you puts on sandals, he should put on his right one first, and when he takes them off, he should take off the left one first ; so that the right one should be the first to be put on and the last to be taken off.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا انْتَعَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيَمِينِ وَإِذَا نَزَعَ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالشِّمَالِ لِتَكُنِ الْيَمِينُ أَوَّلَهُمَا يَنْتَعِلُ وَآخِرَهُمَا يَنْزِعُ

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you dons sandals, then let him begin with the right. And when he removes them then let him begin with left, so that the right will be the first to put on and the last of them removed."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا انْتَعَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيَمِينِ وَإِذَا نَزَعَ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالشِّمَالِ فَلْتَكُنِ الْيُمْنَى أَوَّلَهُمَا تُنْعَلُ وَآخِرَهُمَا تُنْزَعُ

“When anyone of you puts on his sandals, let him start with the right, and when he takes them off, let him start with the left.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا انْتَعَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيُمْنَى وَإِذَا خَلَعَ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيُسْرَى

"When one of you puts on sandals, he should first put in the right foot, and when he takes off he should take off the left one first. And he should wear both of them or take both off." (Using translation from Muslim 2097a)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا انْتَعَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِيَمِينِهِ وَإِذَا خَلَعَ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِشِمَالِهِ وَقَالَ أَنْعِلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا أَوْ أَحْفِهِمَا جَمِيعًا

[AI] From Abu Hurairah, when one of you wears shoes, let him start with the right foot. And when he takes off the left one, and if one of your shoelaces breaks, do not walk in one shoe to fix or replace both.

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ إِذَا انْتَعَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيَمِينِ وِإِذَا خَلَعَ الْيُسْرَى وَإِذَا انْقَطَعَ شِسْعُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلَا يَمْشِ فِي نَعْلٍوَاحِدٍ لِيُحْفِهِمَا جَمِيعًا أَوْ لِيُنْعِلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا

“When anyone of you puts on his sandals, let him start with the right, and when he takes them off, let him start with the left.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3616)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا انْتَعَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيُمْنَى وَإِذَا خَلَعَ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيُسْرَى وَلْيَخْلَعْهُمَا جَمِيعًا وَلْيَنْعَلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا

[AI] I heard Abu Huraira say, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Tie them both, or curse them both. When you wear them, start with the right one, and when you take them off, start with the left one.'"

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ إنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَحْفِهِمَا جَمِيعًا أَوْ أَنْعِلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا فَإِذَا لَبِسْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْيُمْنَى وَإِذَا خَلَعْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْيُسْرَى

[AI] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ : "Take care of both of them (the shoes) or take them off altogether. And when you put them on, start with the right shoe. And when you take them off, start with the left shoe."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَحْفِهِمَا جَمِيعًا أَوْ انْعَلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا فَإِذَا انْتَعَلْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْيُمْنَى وَإِذَا خَلَعْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْيُسْرَى

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you dons sandals, then let him begin with the right. And when he removes them then let him begin with left, so that the right will be the first to put on and the last of them removed." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1779)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا انْتَعَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيُمْنَى وَإِذَا نَزَعَ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالشِّمَالِ وَلْتَكُنِ الْيُمْنَى أَوَّلَهُمَا تُتْنَعَلُ وَآخِرَهُمَا تُنْزَعُ

“When anyone of you puts on his sandals, let him start with the right, and when he takes them off, let him start with the left.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3616)

[AI] "Abu Al-Qasim ﷺ held them both or cursed them both. When you put them on, start with the right and when you take them off, start with the left."

أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ أَحْفِهِمَا جَمِيعًا أَوْ انْعَلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا فَإِذَا لَبِسْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْيُمْنَى وَإِذَا خَلَعْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْيُسْرَى

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z-Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you put on sandals, begin with the right foot. When you take them off, begin with the left foot. The right foot is the first to be put in the sandal and the last to be taken out."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: None of you should walk with one sandal, but should wear a pair or should put off both of them. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4136)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَمْشِ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدَةٍ لِيَنْعَلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا أَوْ لِيَخْلَعْهُمَا جَمِيعًا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Protect both of them or let both of them loose, and when you put on your clothes, start with the right side, and when you take them off, start with the left side."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «احْفِهِمَا جَمِيعًا أَوِ انْعَلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا وَإِذَا لَبِسْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْيُمْنَى وَإِذَا خَلَعْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْيُسْرَى»

قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ يقول إذا انتعل أحدكم فليبدأ باليمين وإذا خلع فليبدأ باليسار أو ليخلعهما جميعا أو لينعلهما جميعا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: When one of you puts on sandals, he should put on his right one first, and when he takes them off, he should take off the left one first ; so that the right one should be the first to be put on and the last to be taken off.
