The Prophet ﷺ said, "(Religious) knowledge will be taken away (by the death of religious scholars) ignorance (in religion) and afflictions will appear; and Harj will increase." It was asked, "What is Harj, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" He replied by beckoning with his hand indicating "killing." (Fath-al-Bari Page 192, Vol. 1)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ يُقْبَضُ الْعِلْمُ وَيَظْهَرُ الْجَهْلُ وَالْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الْهَرْجُ فَقَالَ هَكَذَا بِيَدِهِ فَحَرَّفَهَا كَأَنَّهُ يُرِيدُ الْقَتْلَ

(When) the time would draw close to the Last Hour, knowledge would be snatched away, turmoil would be rampant, miserliness would be put (in the hearts of the people) and therewould be much bloodshed. They said: What is al-harj? Thereupon he said: It is bloodshed.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَتَقَارَبُ الزَّمَانُ وَيُقْبَضُ الْعِلْمُ وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ وَيُلْقَى الشُّحُّ وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ قَالُوا وَمَا الْهَرْجُ قَالَ الْقَتْلُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: The time will become short, knowledge will be decreased, civil strife (fitan) will appear, niggardliness will be case into people's heart, and harj will be prevalent. He was asked: Messenger of Allah! what is it: He replied: Slaughter, slaughter.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَتَقَارَبُ الزَّمَانُ وَيَنْقُصُ الْعِلْمُ وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ وَيُلْقَى الشُّحُّ وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيَّةُ هُوَ قَالَ الْقَتْلُ الْقَتْلُ

“Time will pass quickly, knowledge will decrease, miserliness will be cast into people’s hearts, tribulations will appear and there will be much Harj.” They said: “O Messenger of Allah, what is Harj?” He said: “Killing.”

يَتَقَارَبُ الزَّمَانُ وَيَنْقُصُ الْعِلْمُ وَيُلْقَى الشُّحُّ وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الْهَرْجُ قَالَ الْقَتْلُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَقَارَبُ الزَّمَانُ وَيُلْقَى الشُّحُّ وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ قَالَ قَالُوا أَيُّمَا هُوَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ الْقَتْلُ الْقَتْلُ

[Machine] Abu Al-Qasim ﷺ said, "The Hour will not take place until knowledge is taken away, and trials become widespread, and there is much killing." They asked, "What is 'killing,' O Prophet of Allah?" He replied, "It is murder."

أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُقْبَضَ الْعِلْمُ وَتَظْهَرَ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرَ الْهَرْجُ قَالُوا وَمَا الْهَرْجُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ؟ قَالَ الْقَتْلُ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Knowledge will be withdrawn, and turmoil will prevail, and disputes will increase." It was asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is turmoil?" He said, "Killing."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُقْبَضُ الْعِلْمُ وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا الْهَرْجُ؟ قَالَ الْقَتْلُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The Hour will not be established until knowledge is taken away, ignorance appears, and there is an increase in killing." It was said: "And what is the killing?" He said: "Bloodshed."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُقْبَضَ الْعِلْمُ وَيَظْهَرَ الْجَهْلُ وَيَكْثُرَ الْهَرْجُ قِيلَ وَمَا الْهَرْجُ؟ قَالَ الْقَتْلُ

[Machine] "The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, 'The Day of Judgment will not come until trials and tribulations increase, lying becomes common, markets become close to each other, time gets closer, and there is an increase in killing.' It was said, 'What is killing?' He replied, 'It is when lives are taken unlawfully.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تَظْهَرَ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرَ الْكَذِبُ وَتَتَقَارَبَ الْأَسْوَاقُ وَيَتَقَارَبَ الزَّمَانُ وَيَكْثُرَ الْهَرْجُ قِيلَ وَمَا الْهَرْجُ؟ قَالَ الْقَتْلُ

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Knowledge will be taken away, turmoil will appear, and there will be much dispute." It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is turmoil?" He said, "By His hand, it means killing."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ يُقْبَضُالْعِلْمُ وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا الْهَرْجُ؟ قَالَ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا يَعْنِي الْقَتْلَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَقَارَبُ الزَّمَانُ وَيَفِيضُ الْمَالُ وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ قَالُوا وَمَا الْهَرْجُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ الْقَتْلُ الْقَتْلُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Hour will not be established until knowledge is taken away, time becomes closer, earthquakes become frequent, tribulations appear, and killings increase." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is 'killings'?" He replied, "Killing, killing."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُقْبَضَ الْعِلْمُ وَيَتَقَارَبَ الزَّمَانُ وَتَكْثُرَ الزَّلَازِلُ وَتَظْهَرَ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرَ الْهَرْجُ قَالُوا الْهَرْجُ أَيُّمَا هُوَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ الْقَتْلُ الْقَتْلُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَتَقَارَبُ الزَّمَانُ وَيَنْقُصُ الْعِلْمُ وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيٌّ هُوَ؟ قَالَ «الْقَتْلُ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The Hour (Day of Judgment) will not occur until knowledge is taken away, trials appear, falsehood increases, time narrows, markets come close together, and there is much killing." It was said: What is "al-harj"? He said: "Killing."

عَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «يُوشِكُ أَنْ لَا تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُقْبَضَ الْعِلْمُ وَتَظْهَرَ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرَ الْكَذِبُ وَيَتَقَارَبَ الزَّمَانُ وَتَتَقَارَبَ الْأَسْوَاقُ وَيَكْثُرَ الْهَرْجُ» قِيلَ وَمَا الْهَرْجُ؟ قَالَ «الْقَتْلُ»

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم يقبض العلم ويظهر الجهل ويكثر الهرج قالوا وما الهرج يا رَسولَ اللهِ قال القتال

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم يتقارب الزمان ويقبض العلم ويلقى الشح وتظهر الفتن ويكثر الهرج قالوا وما الهرج قال القتل القتلوهذا الحديث لا نحفظه إلاَّ عن مَعْمَر عَن الزُّهْرِيّ عَن سَعِيد وقد خولف مَعْمَر فيه

"يَتَقَارَبُ الزَّمَانُ، وَيُقْبَضُ الْعلْمُ، وَيُلْقَى الشُّحُّ، وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ، وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ، قِيلَ: ومَا الْهَرْجُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: الْقَتْلُ".
