Whoso turns them away from us will attain Paradise or will be my Companion in Paradise. A man from the Ansar came forward and fought (the enemy) until he was killed. The enemy advanced and overwhelmed him again and he repeated the words: Whoso turns them away, from us will attain Paradise or will be my Companion in Paradise. A man from the Arsar came forward and fought until he was killed. This state continued until the seven Ansar were killed (one after the other). Now, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his two Companions: We have not done justice to our Companions.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أُفْرِدَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فِي سَبْعَةٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ وَرَجُلَيْنِ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فَلَمَّا رَهِقُوهُ قَالَ مَنْ يَرُدُّهُمْ عَنَّا وَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ أَوْ هُوَ رَفِيقِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَتَقَدَّمَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ ثُمَّ رَهِقُوهُ أَيْضًا فَقَالَ مَنْ يَرُدُّهُمْ عَنَّا وَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ أَوْ هُوَ رَفِيقِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَتَقَدَّمَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ فَلَمْ يَزَلْ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ السَّبْعَةُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِصَاحِبَيْهِ مَا أَنْصَفْنَا أَصْحَابَنَا

[AI] "Indeed, when the polytheists oppressed the Prophet ﷺ while he was with seven of Al-Ansar and two men from Quraysh, he said, 'Who will defend us and be my companion in Paradise?' So a man from Al-Ansar came and fought until he was killed. And when they oppressed him again, he said, 'Who will defend them from me and be my companion in Paradise?' until the seven were killed. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his companions, 'How we have been fair to our brothers!'"

أَنَّ الْمُشْرِكِينَ لَمَّا رَهِقُوا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُوَ فِي سَبْعَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَرَجُلَيْنِ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ قَالَ مَنْ يَرُدُّهُمْ عَنَّا وَهُوَ رَفِيقِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ؟ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ فَلَمَّا أَرْهَقُوهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ مَنْ يَرُدُّهُمْ عَنِّي وَهُوَ رَفِيقِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ؟ حَتَّى قُتِلَ السَّبْعَةُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِصَاحِبِيهِ مَاأَنْصَفْنَا إِخْوَانَنَا

[AI] "Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day of Uhud, when they had exhausted him and he was with seven of the Ansar and a man from the Quraysh: 'Whoever turns them away from us will be my companion in Paradise.' So a man from the Ansar stood up and fought until he was killed, then another one stood up and fought until he was killed. This continued until all seven were saying the same thing, and they were all killed. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Our companions were not given their due. O Allah, if You will, You can be worshipped on earth.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ لَمَّا أَرْهَقُوهُ وَهُوَ فِي سَبْعَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَرَجُلٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ «مَنْ يَرُدُّهُمْ عَنَّا فَهُوَ رَفِيقِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ» فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ ثُمَّ قَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ فَقَامَ آخَرُ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ السَّبْعَةُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا أَنْصَفْنَا أَصْحَابَنَا اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ إِنْ تَشَأْ لَا تُعْبَدُ فِي الْأَرْضِ»

A man from the Ansar took that burden and fought until he was killed, but when they became oppressive once again, he said, 'Who will rid us of them while being my companion in Paradise?' and he killed seven (of them). Then he said to his companions, 'Our companions have not been treated fairly.'"

أَنَّ الْمُشْرِكِينَ لَمَّا رَهِقُوا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ فِي سَبْعَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَرَجُلَيْنِ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ قَالَ «مِنْ يُرُدَّ هَؤُلَاءِ عَنَّا وَهُوَ رَفِيقِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَحَمَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ فَلَمَّا أُرْهِقُوا أَيْضًا» قَالَ «مَنْ يَرُدَّ هَؤُلَاءِ عَنِّي وَهُوَ رَفِيقِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى قَتَلَ سَبْعَةً» فَقَالَ لِصَاحِبِيهِ «مَا أَنْصَفْنَا أَصْحَابَنَا»

"عَنْ أنَسٍ: أنَّ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ لَمَّا رَهِقَهُ المُشْرِكُونَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ قَالَ: مَنْ يَرُدُّهُمْ عَنَّا وَهُوَ فِى الجَنَّةِ؟ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأنْصَارِ، فَقَاتَلَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ آخَرُ فَرَدَّهُمْ (حَتَّى قُتِلَ)، حَتَّى قُتِلَ سَبْعَةٌ، فَقَالَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ: مَا أَنْصَفْنَا أصْحَابَنَا".
