Once an Ansari woman, accompanied by a son of hers, came to Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Messenger of Allah ﷺ spoke to her and said twice, "By Him in Whose Hand my life is, you are the most beloved people to me."

جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَمَعَهَا صَبِيٌّ لَهَا فَكَلَّمَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّكُمْ أَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَىَّ مَرَّتَيْنِ

An Ansari woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and he took her aside and said (to her). "By Allah, you (Ansar) are the most beloved people to me."

جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَخَلاَ بِهَا فَقَالَ وَاللَّهِ إِنَّكُنَّ لأَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَىَّ

An Ansari woman came to the Prophet ﷺ in the company of her children, and the Prophet ﷺ said to her, "By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, you are the most beloved people to me!" And he repeated the statement thrice.

أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَعَهَا أَوْلاَدٌ لَهَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّكُمْ لأَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَىَّ قَالَهَا ثَلاَثَ مِرَارٍ

By Him in Whose Hand is my life, you are dearest to me amongst the people. He repeated it thrice.

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَخَلاَ بِهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّكُمْ لأَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَىَّ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ

By Him in Whose Hand is my life, you are dearest to me amongst the people. He repeated it thrice. (Using translation from Muslim 2509a)

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ جَاءَتْ امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ عَفَّانُ مَعَهَا ابْنٌ لَهَا فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ وَقَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ فَخَلَا بِهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّكُمْ لَأَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ

[AI] Zaid said, "I heard Anas ibn Malik say, 'Verily, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said about the Ansar (helpers in Medina), 'Indeed, you are among the people whom I love the most.'"

زَيْدٍقَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فِي الْأَنْصَارِ إِنَّكُمْ لَمِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ

[AI] A woman from the Ansar came to the Prophet ﷺ with her son. He said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, you are the dearest people to me, three times."

جَاءَتْ امْرَأَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَعَهَا ابْنٌ لَهَا فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّكُمْ لَأَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ

[AI] Umm Salamah said, "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, none was dearer to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than her father."

أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَقَدْ كَانَتْ أَحَبَّ النَّاسِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَّا أَبَاهَا»

[AI] "By Allah, I swear by the One in whose hand is my soul, if it is for their best interest and they are most beloved to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."

«أَمَا وَاللهِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنْ كَانَ لَأَخْيَرَهُمْ وَأَحَبَّهُمْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ»
