Purple saddle cloths and wearing a blend of linen and silk and gold rings were forbidden, Muhammad said: I mentioned that to my brother Yahya bin Seereen and he said: Did you not hear this? Yes, and borders of silk brocade.

أحمد:٩٨١ – حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ نُهِيَ

ahmad:1159 – Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > Abū Isḥāq > Hubayrah > ʿAlī

It was narrated from ʿAli ؓ that The Prophet ﷺ forbade, or forbade me [ʿAli], red saddle cloths, garments made from a blend of linen and silk, and gold rings.
