In the life-time of the Prophet, Abu Talha did not fast because of the Jihad, but after the Prophet ﷺ died I never saw him without fasting except on ʿId-ul-Fitr and ʿId-ul-Aclha.

[AI] I heard Anas bin Malik say, "Abu Talhah used to not fast during the time of the Prophet ﷺ. After the Prophet ﷺ passed away, I never saw him break his fast except on the day of Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha."
