البزّار:١٨٨٣ – حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ نا ثَابِتُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ نا فِطْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ خَلِيفَةَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى خَبَّابٍ

فِي مَرَضِهِ فَقَالَ لَوْلَا أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا يَتَمَنَّى أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتَ لَتَمَنَّيْتُهُ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَى عَمْرُو بْنُ شُرَحْبِيلَ عَنْ خَبَّابٍ إِلَّا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ

[Machine] We entered upon a blacksmith who had seven burn marks on his stomach. He said, "If it weren't for the fact that I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'None of you should wish for death because of the (hardships) of this life',"

دَخَلْنَا عَلَى خَبَّابٍ وَقَدِ اكْتَوَى فِي بَطْنِهِ سَبْعَ كَيَّاتٍ فَقَالَ لَوْلَا أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَتَمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتَ لَتَمَنَّيْتُهُ»
