Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The blood of a Muslim who confesses that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that I am His Apostle, cannot be shed except in three cases: In Qisas for murder, a married person who commits illegal sexual intercourse and the one who reverts from Islam (apostate) and leaves the Muslims."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «لاَ يَحِلُّ دَمُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلاَّ بِإِحْدَى ثَلاَثٍ: (١) النَّفْسُ بِالنَّفْسِ، (٢) وَالثَّيِّبُ الزَّانِي، (٣) وَالْمَارِقُ مِنَ الدِّينِ التَّارِكُ الْجَمَاعَةَ۔»

It is not permissible to take the life of a Muslim who bears testimony (to the fact that there is no god but Allah, and I am the Messenger of Allah, but in one of the three cases: the married adulterer, a life for life, and the deserter of his Din (Islam), abandoning the community.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَحِلُّ دَمُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلاَّ بِإِحْدَى ثَلاَثٍ الثَّيِّبُ الزَّانِ وَالنَّفْسُ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالتَّارِكُ لِدِينِهِ الْمُفَارِقُ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ

The blood of a Muslim man who testifies that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah should not be lawfully shed but only for one of three reasons: married fornicator, soul for soul, and one who deserts his religion separating himself from the community.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَحِلُّ دَمُ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلاَّ بِإِحْدَى ثَلاَثٍ الثَّيِّبُ الزَّانِي وَالنَّفْسُ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالتَّارِكُ لِدِينِهِ الْمُفَارِقُ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The blood of a Muslim man, who testifies that none has the right to be worshipped Allah, is not lawful except for one of three cases: The (previously married or) married adulterer, a life for a life, and the one who leaves the religion and parts from the Jama'ah (the community of Muslims.)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «لاَ يَحِلُّ دَمُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلاَّ بِإِحْدَى ثَلاَثٍ الثَّيِّبُ الزَّانِي وَالنَّفْسُ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالتَّارِكُ لِدِينِهِ الْمُفَارِقُ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ۔»

“It is not lawful to shed the blood of a Muslim who bears witness that none has the right to be worshiped but Allah (SWT), and that I am the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, except in one of three cases: a soul for a soul; a married person who commits adultery, and one who leaves his religion and splits from the Jamaʿah.”

[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: It is not permitted to shed the blood of a man who testifies that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah, except in three cases: a person who kills another person, or a married person who commits adultery, or someone who renounces their religion and separates from the community.

Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and said: By Him besides Whom there is no god but He, the blood of a Muslim who bears the testimony that there is no god but Allah, and I am His Messenger, may be lawfully shed only in case of three persons: the one who abandons Islam, and deserts the community [Ahmad, one of the narrators, is doubtful whether the Prophet ﷺ used the word li'l-jama'ah or al-jama'ah), and the married adulterer, and life for life. قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ لَا يَحِلُّ دَمُ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ إِلَّا ثَلَاثَةُ نَفَرٍ التَّارِكُ الْإِسْلَامَ الْمُفَارِقُ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ أَوِ الْجَمَاعَةَ وَالثَّيِّبُ الزَّانِي وَالنَّفْسُ بِالنَّفْسِ قَالَ الْأَعْمَشُ فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَحَدَّثَنِي عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِمِثْلِهِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The blood of a Muslim who bears witness that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah shall not be permissible except in one of three cases: a married adulterer, a life for a life, and one who abandons his religion and separates from the community - and in another narration, the blood of a man is mentioned."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَحِلُّ دَمُ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ إِلَّا بِإِحْدَى ثَلَاثٍ الثَّيِّبُ الزَّانِي وَالنَّفْسُ بِالنَّفْسِ وَالتَّارِكُ لِدِينِهِ الْمُفَارِقُ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ يَعْلَى دَمُ رَجُلٍ

"لَا يَحِلُّ دَمُ امرِيءٍ مُسْلِمٍ يَشْهَدُ أَن لَا إِلَه إلا اللهُ، وَأَنِّي رسُولُ اللهِ إلا بِإِحْدَى ثَلَاثٍ: الثَّيِّبُ الزَّانِي، والنَّفْسُ بِالنَّفْسِ، والتَّارِكُ لِدِينِهِ الْمفَارِقُ لِلْجَمَاعَةِ".
