He who offered prayer over the dead, but did not follow the bier, for him is the reward of one qirat, and he who followed it, for him is the reward of two qirats. It was asked what the qirats were. He said: The smaller amongst the two is equivalent to Uhud.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ وَلَمْ يَتْبَعْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ فَإِنْ تَبِعَهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ قِيلَ وَمَا الْقِيرَاطَانِ قَالَ أَصْغَرُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ

He who offers prayer for the dead, for him is (the reward of) one qirat; and he who follows the bier till it is placed in the grave, for him (is the reward of) two qirats. I (Abu Hazim, one of the narrators) said: Abu Huraira, what is a qirat? He said: It is like the hill of Uhud.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَهَا حَتَّى تُوضَعَ فِي الْقَبْرِ فَقِيرَاطَانِ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَمَا الْقِيرَاطُ قَالَ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ

He who offered prayer for the dead, for him is the reward of one qirat, and he who attended its burial, he would have two qirats as his reward. And qirat is equivalent to Uhud.

عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ فَإِنْ شَهِدَ دَفْنَهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ الْقِيرَاطُ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever attends a funeral until the prayer is offered will have one Qirat and whoever attends until (the body) is buried will have two Qirats."' It was said: "What are the two Qirats, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Like two great mountains."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ شَهِدَ جَنَازَةً حَتَّى يُصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ وَمَنْ شَهِدَ حَتَّى تُدْفَنَ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ قِيلَ وَمَا الْقِيرَاطَانِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ مِثْلُ الْجَبَلَيْنِ الْعَظِيمَيْنِ

If anyone attends the funeral and prays over (the dead), he will get the reward of one qirat, and if anyone attends the funeral until the completion (of the burial), he will get the reward of two qirats, the smaller of them being equivalent of Uhud, or one of them being equivalent to Uhud.

مَنْ تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ وَمَنْ تَبِعَهَا حَتَّى يُفْرَغَ مِنْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ أَصْغَرُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ أَوْ أَحَدُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ

“Whoever offers the funeral prayer will have one Qirat and whoever awaits until (the burial) is finished will have two Qirat.” They said: ‘What are these two Qirat?’ He said: ‘Like two mountains.’”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ وَمَنِ انْتَظَرَ حَتَّى يُفْرَغَ مِنْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ قَالُوا وَمَا الْقِيرَاطَانِ قَالَ مِثْلُ الْجَبَلَيْنِ

“Whoever offers the funeral prayer will have one Qirat and whoever attends the burial will have two Qirat.” The Prophet ﷺ was asked about the Qirat and he said: “(It is) like Uhud.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ وَمَنْ شَهِدَ دَفْنَهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ قَالَ فَسُئِلَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْقِيرَاطِ؟ فَقَالَ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Whoever prays upon a deceased person will receive a Qirat, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, 'What is a Qirat?' He replied, 'It is equivalent to the size of Uhud.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ فَسُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا الْقِيرَاطُ؟ قَالَ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَهَا حَتَّى يُفْرَغَ مِنْ شَأْنِهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ أَصْغَرُهُمَا أَوْ أَحَدُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ

[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Whoever follows a funeral procession and prays upon it, or he said, 'Whoever prays upon it after its burial while doubting, he will have one Qirat. But if he witnesses its burial, he will have two Qirats. The Qirat is like the size of the Mount Uhud."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا أَوْ قَالَ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيْهَا شُعْبَةُ شَكَّ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ فَإِنْ شَهِدَ دَفْنَهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ الْقِيرَاطُ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever follows a funeral procession and prays for the deceased, he will have one qirat and whoever waits until the burial is complete, he will have two qirats." They asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what are the qirats?" He said, "One of them is equivalent to the size of Mount Uhud."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ تَبِعَ جِنَازَةً وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ وَمَنْ انْتَظَرَ حَتَّى يَقْضِيَ قَضَاءَهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا الْقِيرَاطَانِ؟ قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever offers funeral prayer for a deceased person will receive one qirat, and whoever follows the funeral procession until it is buried will receive two qirats, one of which is equivalent to the size of Mount Uhud or smaller."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ وَمَنْ تَبِعَهَا حَتَّى يُقْضَى دَفْنُهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ أَصْغَرُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever follows a funeral and performs the funeral prayer for it, he will have a qirat, and if he witnesses its burial, he will have two qirats." They asked, "And what are the qirats?" He said, "The smaller one is equivalent to the size of the mountain of Uhud."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ تَبِعَ جِنَازَةً فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ فَإِنْ شَهِدَ دَفْنَهَا كَانَ لَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ قَالُوا وَمَاالْقِيرَاطَانِ؟ قَالَ أَصْغَرُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ

[Machine] "The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever follows a funeral procession will receive one Qirat, and whoever witnesses its burial will receive two Qirats.' It was asked, 'What are the Qirats?' He said, 'The smaller one is similar to the size of a 'Uhud mountain.'"

أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ وَمَنْ شَهِدَ دَفْنَهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ قِيلَ وَمَا الْقِيرَاطَانِ؟ قَالَ أَصْغَرُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ

“Whoever offers the funeral prayer will have one Qirat and whoever attends the burial will have two Qirat.” The Prophet ﷺ was asked about the Qirat and he said: “(It is) like Uhud.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1540)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ فَإِنْ شَهِدَ دَفْنَهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ الْقِيرَاطُ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ

He who attends the funeral till the prayer is offered for (the dead), for him is the reward of one qirat, and he who attends (and stays) till he is buried, for him is the reward of two qirats. It was said: What are the qirats? He said: They are equivalent to two huge mountains. Two other narrators added: Ibn 'Umar used to pray and then depart (without waiting for the burial of the dead). When the tradition of Abu Huraira reached him, he said:" We have lost many qirats." (Using translation from Muslim 945a)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ شَهِدَ الْجَنَازَةَ حَتَّى يُصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ وَمَنْ شَهِدَهَا حَتَّى تُدْفَنَ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الْقِيرَاطَانِ؟ قَالَ «مِثْلُ جَبَلَيْنِ عَظِيمَيْنِ»

"مَن شَهدَ الْجنَازَةَ حَتَّى يُصَلَّى عَلَيهَا فَلَهُ قيرَاطٌ، وَمَنْ شَهِدَهَا حَتَّى تُدْفَنَ كَانَ لَهُ قِيرَاطَان، قِيلَ: وَما القِيراطَان؟ قَال: مِثْلُ الْجَبَلَينِ الْعَظِيمَينِ".

"مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَة وَلَمْ يَتْبَعْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ، فَإِنْ تَبِعَهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ. قِيلَ: وَمَا الْقِيرَاطَانِ؟ قَال: أَصْغَرُهُمَا مثْلُ أُحُدٍ".

"مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ فَإِنْ شَهدَ دَفْنَهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ. الْقِيرَاطُ مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ".

"مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَة فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ، وَمَنْ شَهِدَ دَفْنَهَا فَلَهُ قيرَاطَانِ أَحَدُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ".
