[Machine] He is called Abu Shuaib and he had a young blacksmith. He said to him, "Prepare food for us so that I may invite the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and six (other) people." So, he invited them and a man followed them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Has he followed us?" He said, "Yes."  

أحمد:١٤٨٠١حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْجَوَّابِ حَدَّثَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ رُزَيْقٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ

يُقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ وَكَانَ لَهُ غُلَامٌ لَحَّامٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ اجْعَلْ لَنَا طَعَامًا لَعَلِّي أَدْعُو رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سَادِسَ سِتَّةٍ فَدَعَاهُمْ فَاتَّبَعَهُمْ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ هَذَا قَدِ اتَّبَعَنَا أَفَتَأْذَنُ لَهُ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ

There was an Ansari man called Abu Shu'aib who had a slave butcher. Abu Shu'aib said to him, "Prepare a meal sufficient for five persons so that I might invite the Prophet ﷺ besides other four persons." Abu Shu'aib had seen the signs of hunger on the face of the Prophet ﷺ and so he invited him. Another man who was not invited, followed the Prophet. The Prophet ﷺ said to Abu Shu'aib, "This man has followed us. Do you allow him to share the meal?" Abu Shu'aib said, "Yes."

So he invited the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, for the fifth of five. A man followed them, and the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said, "You invited us for the fifth of five and this man has followed me. If you want, you can allow him, and if you want, you can leave him." He said, "So he allowed him."  

الدارمي:٢١١٢أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَجُلٌ

يُقَالُ لَهُ أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ وَكَانَ لَهُ غُلَامٌ لَحَّامٌ فَقَالَ اصْنَعْ لِي طَعَامًا أَدْعُو رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَامِسَ خَمْسَةٍ قَالَ فَدَعَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَامِسَ خَمْسَةٍ فَتَبِعَهُمْ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّكَ دَعَوْتَنَا خَامِسَ خَمْسَةٍ وَهَذَا رَجُلٌ قَدْ تَبِعَنِي فَإِنْ شِئْتَ أَذِنْتَ لَهُ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ تَرَكْتَهُ» قَالَ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ

[Machine] A man from the Ansar, who was known as Abu Shuayb, said to his servant, "Woe to you! I have seen hunger in the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So prepare enough food for five people." The servant prepared the food and sent it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He called the man and a man who was not called also followed them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, this man is our follower, so give him permission." He said, "Yes."  

الطبراني:١٤٦٥٥حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ القَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ طَالِبٍ ثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ ؓ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ يُكْنَى أَبَا شُعَيْبٍ قَالَ لِغُلَامِهِ وَيْحَكَ إنِّي قَدْ رَأَيْتُ فِي وَجْهِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْجُوعَ فَاعْمَلْ طَعَامًا يَكْفِي خَمْسَةً فَعَمِلَهُ فَبَعَثَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَدَعَاهُ فَتَبِعَهُمْ رَجُلٌ لَمْ يُدْعَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ هَذَا تَبِعَنَا فَتَأْذَنُ لَهُ» فَقَالَ نَعَمْ

He prepared a meal for the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , and invited him on the fifth day. A man followed them, so the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "A man has followed us, so if you wish, give him permission."

يُقَالُ لَهُ أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ وَكَانَ لَهُ غُلَامٌ لَحَّامٌ فَقَالَ لِغُلَامِهِ إِنِّي قَدْ رَأَيْتُ فِي وَجْهِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْجُوعَ لَعَلِّي أَدْعُوهُ خَامِسَ خَمْسَةٍ فَصَنَعَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ طَعَامًا فَدَعَاهُ خَامِسَ خَمْسَةٍ فَتَبِعَهُمْ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «قَدْ تَبِعَنَا رَجُلٌ فَإِنْ شِئْتَ أَنْ تَأْذَنَ لَهُ فَائْذَنْ لَهُ»

[Machine] He is called Abu Shuayb. He noticed hunger on the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He had a generous servant, so he said to him "Prepare a meal for me, so that I could invite the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and four others." He invited them and a man followed them who had not been invited. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked him, "Has he followed us? Should I allow him?" He replied, "Yes."  

البيهقي:١٤٥٤٣أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الضَّبِّيُّ وَزِيَادُ بْنُ الْخَلِيلِ قَالَا ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ؓ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ
