The Prophet ﷺ did not like when people exaggerated his station more than how Allah has elevated him
a man said to the Prophet ﷺ: O our leader and son of our leader, or O best of us and the son of the best of us. Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "O People, say what you usually say and not let Satan take over you: I am Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh and the Messenger of Allah. I do not like that you elevate me to a level higher than to what Allah has elevated me."
