So he said, "Get up." Then I went and entered upon Umm Sulaim, and I was amazed at the one who accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . She said, "What have you done, Anas?" Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered, and he asked, "Do you have any fat?" She replied, "Yes, there was a small amount of it with me in a container." He said, "Bring it." So I brought it to him, and he untied the container and said, "In the name of Allah, O Allah, bless it abundantly." He then told me to turn it over, and I did so. Umar ibn al-Khattab stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, strike their necks." The Prophet ﷺ turned away from him. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned and said, "O people, indeed, Allah has made you victorious over them, and they are only your brothers from yesterday." Umar stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, strike their necks." The Prophet ﷺ turned away from him. Then the Prophet ﷺ returned and said the same thing to the people. Abu Bakr stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, we think you should forgive them and accept their ransom." The grief disappeared from the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . He forgave them and accepted their ransom. And Allah revealed, "If not for a decree from Allah that preceded, you would have been touched for what you took by a great punishment" (Quran 8:68).

I swear by Allah, Muhammad has never lied or betrayed. So, I returned and went to the Prophet ﷺ . When he saw me, he said, "The enemy of Allah has lied. I am better than anyone who would wear a garment made of various pieces stitched together. It is better for him to hold on to his trust or what is entrusted to him."

Allah created you with His Hand and His angels prostrated to you. Intercede for us with your Lord, that He might grant us relief from our situation.’ He will say: ‘I am not the one,’ and he will mention to them and complain of the sin that he committed. He will feel too shy to do that (and will say): ‘Rather go to Nuh, for he is the first Messenger whom Allah sent to the people of earth.’ So they will go to him, but he will say: ‘I am not the one,’ and he will mention of how he asked of Allah that of which he had no knowledge.* He will feel too shy to do that (and will say): ‘Rather go to the Close Friend of the Most Merciful, Ibrahim.’ So they will go to him and he will say: ‘I am not the one. Rather go to Musa, a slave to whom Allah spoke and to whom He gave the Torah.’ So they will go to him and he will say: ‘I am not the one,’ and he will mention how he killed a soul, not in retaliation for murder (and will say): ‘Rather go to ‘Isa, the slave of Allah and His Messenger, the Word of Allah and a spirit created by Him.’ So they will go to him, but he will say: ‘I am not the one. Rather go to Muhammad, a slave whose past and future sins Allah forgave.’ So they will come to me and I will go with them.” – There was a similar report from Hasan who added (the Prophet ﷺ said:) And I will walk between two rows of the believers.” Then he went back to the Hadith of Anas. – And he said: “And I will ask my Lord for permission and permission will be given to me. When I see Him I will fall down prostrating, and I will be left as long as Allah wills to leave me. Then it will be said: ‘Get up, O Muhammad. Speak, you will be heard; ask, you will be given; intercede, your intercession will be accepted.’ I will praise Him with praise that He will teach me, then I will intercede, and a limit will be set. Then they will be admitted to Paradise, and I will come back a second time. Then they will be admitted to Paradise, and I will come back a third time. Then they will be admitted to Paradise, and I will come back a fourth time and will say: ‘O Lord, there is no one left except those who are detained by the Qur’an.’” ** Qatadah (the Tabi'ee in the chain) would narrate after this hadith that Anas (ra) said "Those who said 'La illaha illa Allah' (there is no god except Allah) and had the weight of a grain of barley in good in his heart will come out of the Fire, and those who said 'La illaha illa Allah' and had a weight of a grain of wheat in good in his heart will come out of the Fire, and those who said 'La illaha illa Allah' and had a weight of a grain of dust in good in his heart will come out of the Fire." [Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was on the pulpit and said, "O Messenger of Allah, invoke Allah for rain for us." The Prophet ﷺ invoked Allah for rain and we did not see any cloud in the sky. Then, it rained until we could not see the sun. When it was Friday, that man or someone else stood up and said, "O Messenger of Allah, invoke Allah to withhold the rain from us." The Prophet ﷺ smiled and invoked Allah accordingly. I looked at the cloud and saw it receding to the right and left, leaving no drop of rain.

[Machine] A man used to write for the Messenger of Allahﷺ. Whenever he dictated to him, he would say, "I have written it hearing and seeing." He said, "Leave it." And when he dictated to him [the words of Allah], 'the All-Knower, the All-Wise', the writer wrote, 'the All-Knowledgeable, the Forbearing.' Hammad said in his version, 'the Messenger of Allahﷺ had already read Surah Al-Baqarah and Al Imran, and whoever read those Surahs had indeed completed a large part of the Qur'an.' Then that man embraced Christianity, became a Christian and died as such. The people buried him, and when they woke up, they found that he had been thrown out and the earth would not accept him. The Ansar said, "O Messenger of Allah, our swords are dripping with their blood while they take the spoils." When the Prophet ﷺ heard about this, he gathered them in a tent until it became full and asked, "Is there anyone among you who is not satisfied?" They replied, "Only the son of our aunt." He said, "The nephew of a people is from them." He then asked, "Did you say this and that?" They replied, "Yes." He said, "You are the banner and the people are the dust. Are you not satisfied that the people take sheep and camels while you go with the Messenger of Allah to your homes?" They replied, "Yes." The Ansar said, "If people travel through a valley, and the Ansar travel through another, I would travel with the Ansar. If it were not for Hijrah, I would have been one of the Ansar." [Machine] I was in the company of my father Talha on the day of Khaybar, and my feet touched the feet of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. We came to them when the sun rose, and they had already brought out their cattle and were herding them. They also came out with their weapons and shackles as they passed by. They said, "Muhammad and al-Khamis (the Prophet and his companions)." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allahu Akbar! Khaybar is ruined. When we conquer the land of a people, it is a terrible morning for those who are warned." He said, "Allah has given them a great defeat." He said, "A beautiful young slave girl called Dayyah fell into the hands of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He bought her for seven dinars and then gave her to Umm Sulaim to dress and prepare her. She was the daughter of Huwayy. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ appointed her as his concubine and gave her a diet of dates, barley, and clarified butter. Then the ground was tested with locusts and the meat, dates, and clarified butter were placed on it. The people ate until they were full. They said, "We don't know if he married her or made her the mother of a child." They said, "If he hides her, then she is his wife, and if he does not hide her, then she is the mother of a child." When he wanted to ride, he covered her until she sat on the back of a camel. When they came close to Al-Madinah, his she-camel, called Adba', stumbled. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ muttered to himself, and she muttered to herself. He said, "May Allah distance the Jewess." I said, "O Abu Hamzah, did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ marry her?" He said, "Yes, by Allah, he did marry her, and I witnessed the marriage feast of Zaynab bint Jahsh where the people were given bread and meat. He used to send me to invite the people. When I finished, he stood up, and I followed him. Two men lagged behind and he talked to them. They did not come out until they saw him leave. When they saw him, they stood up and left." He said, "By Allah, I do not know if I mentioned it to him or if the revelation came down to him informing him that they had gone out. He left and I followed him. When he put his foot in the threshold of the door, he drew the curtain between me and him. Then Allah revealed these Ayat: 'O you who believe! Enter not the Prophet's houses until permission is given to you for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation.' Until the end of the Ayah."

Among the jews, when a women menstruated, they ejected her from the house, and they did not eat with her, nor did they drink with her, nor did they associate with her in (their houses) so the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) was questioned about that. Thereupon Allah revealed : “They question thee concerning menstruation. Say : I: is an illness, so let woman alone at such times” (ii 222). The Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) then said: Associate with them in the houses and do everything except sexual intercourse. Thereupon the Jews said: This man does not want to leave anything we do without opposing us in it. Usaid b. Hudair and Abbad b. Bishr came and said: Messenger of Allah, the jews are saying such and such a thing. Shall we not then have intercourse with women during mensuration? The face of the Apostle Allah ﷺ underwent such a change that we thought he was angry with them; but when they went out they received a gift of milk which was being brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he sent after them and gave them a drink, whereupon we thought that he was not angry with them. So they will go to Moses and say, 'O Moses, please intercede for us with our Lord and settle our disputes.' Moses will say, 'I am not there for you, but go to Jesus, the Spirit of Allah and His Word.' So they will go to Jesus and say, 'O Jesus, please intercede for us with our Lord and settle our disputes.' Jesus will say, 'I am not there for you, but go to Muhammad, for he is the seal of the prophets, and he is present today, and his past and future sins have been forgiven.' Jesus will also say, 'Have you not seen if there was a container with a sealed cover, would anyone be able to access what is inside until the seal is removed?' They will say, 'No.' Jesus will say, 'Indeed, Muhammad is the seal of the prophets.' Then they will come to me and say, 'O Muhammad, please intercede for us with our Lord and settle our disputes.' I will say, 'Yes.' So I will go to the gate of Paradise and ask for it to be opened. It will be asked, 'Who is it?' I will say, 'Muhammad.' It will be opened for me, and I will enter and prostrate myself. Then I will praise my Lord with praises that no one has ever praised Him with before me or after me. It will be said to me, 'Raise your head and speak, your request will be heard and granted. Intercede and your intercession will be accepted.' So I will say, 'O Lord, my nation, my nation.' It will be said to me, 'Bring out those who have an atom's weight of faith in their hearts.' So I will bring them out. Then I will go back and prostrate myself again. I will praise my Lord with praises that no one has ever praised Him with before me or after me. It will be said to me, 'Raise your head and speak, your request will be heard and granted. Intercede and your intercession will be accepted.' So I will say, 'O Lord, my nation, my nation.' It will be said to me, 'Bring out those who have a mustard seed's weight of faith in their hearts.' So I will bring them out. Then I will go back and prostrate myself again. I will praise my Lord with praises that no one has ever praised Him with before me or after me. It will be said to me, 'Raise your head and speak, your request will be heard and granted. Intercede and your intercession will be accepted.' So I will say, 'O Lord, my nation, my nation.' It will be said to me, 'Bring out those who have an atom's weight of faith in their hearts.' So I will bring them out."
