[Machine] "When someone from her family was afflicted, the women of the community would separate from her, and only the women from her specific family would stay with her. She would be ordered to cook a broth made from barley, which would then be poured over tharid (a type of bread). She would be told to eat from it, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say that tharid is a remedy for the heart of the sick and takes away some sorrow."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in his illness, in which he did not get up from it, "May Allah curse the Jews and the Christians, for they have taken the graves of their prophets as places of worship." She (Aisha) said, "If it had not been for that, his grave would have been visible, but he feared that it would be taken as a place of worship."

[Machine] I brought a thief and my aunt, Ummrah bint Abdulrahman, sent to me saying, "Do not rush in the matter of this man until I come to you and inform you what I heard from Aisha about the matter of the thief." She came to me and informed me that she heard Aisha saying, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Cut off the hand for a quarter of a dinar, and do not cut off for less than that.' And a quarter of a dinar at that time was three dirhams, and a dinar was twelve dirhams." She said, "His theft was less than a quarter of a dinar, so I did not cut his hand off."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me and said, "O Aisha, your people will be the quickest nation to follow me." I replied, "May Allah make me a sacrifice for you, O Messenger of Allah. You entered while saying something that alarmed me." He asked, "What is it?" I said, "You claimed that your people will be the quickest nation to follow you." He said, "Yes." I asked, "For what reason?" He answered, "They will be eager for martyrdom and death will come to them while they are in the best state. Then the Hour will be established." Abu Abdur Rahman explained that a person came and interpreted it, saying, "It refers to the locusts whose wings never break."

[Machine] A Jewess used to serve Aisha, and she did not do any good acts except that the Jewess would say to her, "May Allah protect you from the punishment of the grave." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon her and I said, "O Messenger of Allah, is there punishment in the grave before the Day of Resurrection?" He said, "Yes, and it is because of her." She said, "The Jewess says, 'May Allah protect you from the punishment of the grave' whenever we do a good deed." He said, "The Jews have lied, they are the most untruthful people. There is no punishment before the Day of Resurrection." Then he stayed after that as long as Allah willed, then one day he came out at mid-day wrapped in a red garment, and his eyes were red, and he was calling out in a loud voice, "O people, the trials have made you like the pieces of a dark night. O people, if you knew what I know, you would weep much and laugh a little. O people, seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of the grave, for the punishment of the grave is true."

Return to your people ; if you like that I make payment for the purchase of your freedom on your behalf and I shall have the right to inherit from you, I shall do so. Barirah mentioned it to her people, but they refused and said: If she wants to purchase your freedom for reward from Allah, she may do so, but the right to inherit from her shall be ours. She mentioned it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Purchase her (freedom) and set her free, for the right of inheritance belongs to only to the one who set a person free. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then stood up and said: If anyone makes a condition which is not in Allah's Book, he has no right to it, even if he stipulates it hundred times. Allah's condition is more valid and binding. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3929)
