[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ bought from a Bedouin man a large quantity of dates called Al-Dhakhira and Al-Ajwah. He took them back to his house and asked his servant to look for them, but they could not find them. The Bedouin man said, "Perhaps they were stolen." People started suspecting and saying, "May Allah destroy the one who betrayed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ!" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Leave him alone, because the one who is truthful has a response." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went to the Bedouin man again and said, "O Abdullah, we bought from you a large quantity of dates and we thought we had what we named for you, but we couldn't find it." The Bedouin man said, "Perhaps they were stolen." Again, people started suspecting and saying, "May Allah destroy the one who betrayed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ!" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ again said, "Leave him alone, because the one who is truthful has a response." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ repeated this two or three times. When the Bedouin man realized that he didn't understand what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was saying, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to one of his companions, "Go to Khawilah bint Hakim ibn Umayyah and tell her that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is asking if she has some of the dates called Al-Dhakhira, so lend them to us and we will return them to you, if Allah wills." The man went to Khawilah and then returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "She said yes, O Messenger of Allah, and she asked that someone come to collect them." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the man, "Take them and fulfill the right of the owner." The man took the dates and fulfilled the right of the owner. The Bedouin man passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was sitting with his companions and said, "May Allah reward you with goodness, for you have fulfilled and returned what was entrusted to you." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Those are the best servants of Allah on the Day of Resurrection, the ones who fulfill their trusts and do good."

[Machine] Sahlah, the daughter of Suhail, came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said to him, "O Prophet of Allah, Salim used to be considered our child, as you know that we used to count him as such. He would enter upon me as he pleased, and I did not feel any shame from him. When Allah revealed what He revealed concerning him and his like, I found objection in my father Huzayfah's face when he saw him entering upon me. So I said to him, 'Breastfeed him ten times, then he will be able to enter upon you as he pleases, for he will only be like a son to you.' Aisha would look after him for a whole year, and she was considered special to the Muslims. And the wives of the Prophet ﷺ other than her considered her special for Salim, the freed slave of Abu Hudhayfah, about whom Sahla mentioned."

[Machine] Aisha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to test the women who migrated to him with this verse: "O Prophet, when the believing women come to you pledging to you that they will not associate anything with Allah, or steal, or commit unlawful sexual intercourse, or kill their children, or bring forth a slander they have fabricated between their arms and legs, or disobey you in what is right, then accept their pledge and ask Allah to forgive them. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful" (Quran 60:12).

Urwah ibn Az-Zubayr said that Aisha asked the women who accepted this condition from among the believers, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, "I have already pledged my allegiance to you and, by Allah, my hand has never touched the hand of a woman in allegiance. I have only pledged allegiance to them by saying, 'I have pledged allegiance to you upon that.'"

BY Allah, I remember the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing on the door of my apartment screening me with his mantle enabling me to see the sport of the Abyssinians as they played with their daggers in the mosque of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upom him). He (the Holy Prophet) kept standing for my sake till I was satiated and then I went back; and thus you can well imagine how long a girl tender of age who is fond of sports (could have watched it). [Machine] Sahlah, the daughter of Suhail bin Amr, came to live under the care of Abu Hudhayfah bin Utbah, the messenger of Allah ﷺ. She said, "Salim, the servant of Abu Hudhayfah, comes to us, and we are considered as family and we used to see him as a child. Abu Hudhayfah adopted him, just as the messenger of Allah ﷺ adopted Zaid. Then Allah revealed the verse: 'Call them (adopted children) by [the names of] their fathers; it is more just in the sight of Allah' (Quran 33:5). So the messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered her to breastfeed Salim, so she breastfed him five times. He became like her own child through breastfeeding. Because of this, Aisha used to command her sisters and the daughters of her brothers to breastfeed those whom she loved to enter and see her, even if they were adults, for five breastfeedings. Then after that, they were allowed to enter and see her. However, Umm Salamah and the other wives of the Prophet ﷺ refused to allow any person among the people to enter on them through this type of breastfeeding, except for the one who breastfed in infancy. They would say to Aisha, 'By Allah, we do not know if this is a concession from the messenger of Allah ﷺ specifically for Salim and not for others among the people.'

Aisha said to her, 'What if I make a condition that if I count for your family, who are entrusted to me, as only one person, will you then free yourself and become independent?'. Barira went to her family and presented this to them, and they responded, 'Unless you remain loyal to us'. Aisha then informed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about this, and he said, 'Buy her and set her free, for loyalty belongs to the one who frees the slave'. Later that evening, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and said, 'What is the matter with people who impose conditions that are not in the Book of Allah? Know that whoever imposes a condition that is not in the Book of Allah, it has no validity. When we reached a place called Turban, which was a town between it and Medina, there was a distance and miles, and it was a land without water. This was due to magic, a necklace slipped off my neck and fell. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was detained while searching for it until dawn came, and there was no water with the people. My father asked me: 'What does Allah permit you to do in such a situation?' And he is knowledgeable about hardship and alleviation. He said in every journey of the Muslims there is trouble and hardship. So Allah revealed permission for Tayammum. So the people performed Tayammum and prayed. Then my father said: 'When he came back from Allah, he came with what he came with from the permission for the Muslims. By Allah, my beloved daughter, I did not know what Allah had made for the Muslims in your detention from blessings and ease.'"

[Machine] Aisha said: We left with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and we only mentioned Hajj. When we arrived at Sarif, I experienced menstruation. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon me while I was crying, and he said, "What is making you cry?" I said, "I wish I had not performed 'Umrah this year." He said, "Perhaps you are expecting your period." I said, "Yes." He said, "This is something that Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam, so do what the pilgrims do, except do not perform tawaf around the Ka'bah until you are purified." When we arrived in Makkah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his companions, "Make it 'Umrah." So people assumed ihram except those who had brought sacrifices, and the sacrificial animals were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , Abu Bakr, Umar, and those who had brought their sacrificial animals. Then they proceeded for Hajj after 'Umrah. When it was the Day of Sacrifice, I purified myself and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me to perform tawaf. I said, "What is this?" They said, "This is a cow that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had sacrificed on behalf of his wives." When it was the night of Hasbah, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, people are returning with the Hajj and 'Umrah, and I am returning with the Hajj only." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakr to accompany me on his camel. She said, "I remember, while I was a young girl, that I would fall asleep and my face would hit the back of the saddle until he brought me to Tan'im. Then I performed 'Umrah as compensation for the previous 'Umrah."

[Machine] Narrated by Aisha, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , she said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went for Hajj for five nights in the remaining days of Dhul-Qa'dah. People were only talking about Hajj until he ﷺ took along with him the sacrificial animal and a group of people. He commanded the people to perform Umrah except for those who had brought the sacrificial animal. I was menstruating on that day, so he ﷺ came to me while I was crying and he asked, "What's wrong, Aisha? Are you upset?" I replied, "Yes, by Allah! I wish I had not gone out with you in this year's journey." He said, "Don't say that. Verily, you perform all the rituals that a pilgrim does, except for the Tawaf (circumambulation) around the Kaaba." I said, "Well, I still performed my Hajj rites." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered Makkah, and everyone who didn't have the sacrificial animal with them performed Umrah. His wives also performed Umrah. On the Day of Sacrifice, I was brought a lot of beef, which was put in my house. I asked, "What is this?" They said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has sacrificed the cow on behalf of his wives." When the night of Maghrib (the evening prayer) came during the Day of At-Tashriq, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me with my brother, Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakr, to Mecca, and he instructed me to assume the Ihram (ritual state of pilgrimage) for my Umrah, in the place where I had missed my Umrah previously. Ya'qub also reported this from another place regarding the time of Hajj. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded his wives to perform Umrah, and he commanded the people who didn't have a sacrificial animal to perform Umrah, and he commanded those who had brought a sacrificial animal from among the nobles to remain in their sanctity.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came back on that day when he entered from the mosque and reclined on my bed. A man from the family of Abu Bakr entered, holding a green tooth stick (siwak) in his hand. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at him and I understood that he wanted it. So, I said, "O Messenger of Allah, would you like me to give you this siwak?" He replied, "Yes." So, I took it, chewed it until it became soft, and gave it to him. He began to clean his teeth with it more intensely than I had ever seen him cleaning with a siwak before. Then, he put it aside, and I found the Messenger of Allah ﷺ leaning heavily on my bed. I went to look at his face, and his sight had become blurred, while he was saying, "Rather, the higher companion of Paradise." So, I said, "You were given a choice and you chose, and by the One who sent you with the truth, you chose well." Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away.

This has been forbidden for my Ummah."

[Machine] Al-Zubair reported from Aisha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ , that she said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led the people in the prayer of fear during the Battle of al-Riqaa' from the palm grove. She said, "Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ split the people into two groups. One group stood behind him, while the other group stood to face the enemy." She said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ made the takbeer and the group behind him also made the takbeer. Then he bowed and the group behind him also bowed. Then he prostrated and the group behind him also prostrated. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his head and those behind him also raised their heads. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat while they performed the second prostration for themselves. Then they got up and prostrated on their feet, walking towards al-Qa'qara until they were away from their previous position. She said, "Then the other group came forward and they stood behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . They made the takbeer and then they bowed for themselves and then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made the second prostration and they also prostrated with him. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up for his second rakah and they also prostrated for themselves in their second prostration. Then both groups stood and they all performed the bowing with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . They all prostrated and then they all raised their heads together. All of this happened very quickly with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not delaying or reducing anything that he was able to do. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made the salam and they also made the salam. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up and the people joined him in the rest of their prayer."

The man replied, "I fell on my wife while I was fasting." Then his wife said, "And that happened in Ramadan." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told him to sit down, and he sat among the people. Then a man came with a donkey carrying a sack full of dates and said, "This is my charity, O Messenger of Allah." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Where is the one who got burnt?" The man said, "Here I am, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Take this and give charity with it." The man asked, "Where should I give charity, O Messenger of Allah, except to myself and my family? By the One who sent you with the truth, I don't find anything for me and my family." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Then take it." And the man took it.
