[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited five things, wearing silk, gold, drinking from gold and silver utensils, wearing red meethara, and wearing coarse cloth. Aisha said, "O Messenger of Allah, is there something delicate made of gold that can be used to tie musk with?" He said, "No, do not make it silver and color it with saffron."

ahmad:25913ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Maʿmar > al-Zuhrī > ʿUrwah > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] Salim, the son of Hudhayfah, came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Indeed, Salim was called by his (adoptive) father, and Allah has revealed in His Book, 'Call them by their fathers' names,' [al-Ahzab:5]." So, he (the Prophet) used to enter upon me while I was not properly covered, and we were in a small house. He said, 'Breastfeed Salim and make it forbidden for him (to marry you).'

[Machine] The first thing that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ complained about was in the house of Maimuna. He sought permission from his wives to be treated in her house, and they granted him permission. He left with one hand on Al-Fadl ibn Abbas and the other hand on another man, while dragging his feet on the ground. Ubaydullah said, "I narrated this to ibn Abbas, and he asked me, 'Do you know who the other man was that Aisha did not mention?' It was Ali, but Aisha did not hold a good opinion of him."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during his illness in which he passed away, "Pour seven buckets of water on me that have not been boiled or sweetened, so that I may find relief and be able to address the people." Aisha then said, "So, we sat him in a container made of copper that belonged to Hafsa, and we poured water on him from those buckets until he signaled to us that we had done so. Then, he went out."

[Machine] "When the Prophet ﷺ descended upon it, he would throw a cloak over his face. When he becomes angry, he uncovers it from his face and says, 'May the curse of Allah be upon the Jews and Christians who have taken the graves of their prophets as places of worship.' Aisha said, 'He warns against doing the same as they have done.'"

When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to my house, he said: Ask Abu Bakr to lead people in prayer. 'A'isha narrated: I said, Messenger of Allah, Abu Bakr is a man of tenderly feelings; as he recites the Qur'an, he cannot help shedding tears: so better command anyone else to lead the prayer. By Allah, there is nothing disturbing in it for me but the idea that the people may not takeevil omen with regard to one who is the first to occupy the place of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I tried to dissuade him (the Holy Prophet) twice or thrice (from appointing my father as an Imam in prayer), but he ordered Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer and said: You women are like those (who had) surrounded Yusuf. (Using translation from Muslim 418e)

[Machine] A man divorced his wife, and then she married another husband. He entered upon her while he had something similar to a whip with him, but he did not touch her except with a single strike that did not cause any harm. She mentioned this to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, "Should I allow my first husband to be intimate with me?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not allow your first husband to be intimate with you until your second husband tastes your sweetness and you taste his sweetness."

[Machine] I have never seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ strike a servant or a woman or anything with his hand, except when he was fighting in the cause of Allah. He never sought revenge for his own sake unless the boundaries set by Allah were violated. And he never took anything for himself except what was right. However, if it was for Allah's sake, then He would seek revenge on his behalf. He was never given a choice between two matters, but he would choose the easier of the two, unless it was a sin. In that case, he would be the furthest of the people from it.

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ came across some people from the Jewish community and they greeted him by saying, "As-Salamu 'Alaikum, O Aba Al-Qasim." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Wa 'Alaikum." Aisha then said to them, "May the curse and disgrace be upon you." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Aisha, "O Aisha, do not use foul language." She then said, "O Messenger of Allah, did you not hear what they said? They greeted you with 'As-Salamu 'Alaik.' " The Prophet ﷺ asked her, "Did I not respond to them by saying 'Wa 'Alaikum'?" I said to them what they said to me. Ibn Numair reported that in his narration of the incident, Aisha said, "Indeed, Allah dislikes vulgarity and indecency." Ibn Numair also reported in his narration that this verse was revealed: "And when they come to you, they greet you with a greeting from which Allah has not greeted you." And it continued until it was completed.

They said: No. The immigrants (muhajirun) intended (to take revenge) on them. But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded them to refrain and they refrained. He then called them and increased (the amount), and asked: Do you agree? They replied: Yes. He said: I am going to address the people and tell them about your consent. They said: Yes. The Prophet ﷺ addressed and said: Do you agree? They said: Yes. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4534)

The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in the form of good righteous (true) dreams in his sleep. He never had a dream but that it came true like bright day light. He used to go in seclusion (the cave of) Hira where he used to worship(Allah Alone) continuously for many (days) nights. He used to take with him the journey food for that (stay) and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food like-wise again for another period to stay, till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him in it and asked him to read. The Prophet ﷺ replied, "I do not know how to read." (The Prophet ﷺ added), "The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and again asked me to read, and I replied, "I do not know how to read," whereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and asked me again to read, but again I replied, "I do not know how to read (or, what shall I read?)." Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me and then released me and said, "Read: In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists). Has created man from a clot. Read and Your Lord is Most Generous...up to..... ..that which he knew not." (96.15) Then Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned with the Inspiration, his neck muscles twitching with terror till he entered upon Khadija and said, "Cover me! Cover me!" They covered him till his fear was over and then he said, "O Khadija, what is wrong with me?" Then he told her everything that had happened and said, 'I fear that something may happen to me." Khadija said, 'Never! But have the glad tidings, for by Allah, Allah will never disgrace you as you keep good reactions with your Kith and kin, speak the truth, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guest generously and assist the deserving, calamityafflicted ones." Khadija then accompanied him to (her cousin) Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin ʿAbdul ʿUzza bin Qusai. Waraqa was the son of her paternal uncle, i.e., her father's brother, who during the Pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the Arabic writing and used to write of the Gospels in Arabic as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said to him, "O my cousin! Listen to the story of your nephew." Waraqa asked, "O my nephew! What have you seen?" The Prophet ﷺ described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said, "This is the same Namus (i.e., Gabriel, the Angel who keeps the secrets) whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out." Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Will they turn me out?" Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said: "Never did a man come with something similar to what you have brought but was treated with hostility. If I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly." But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while and the Prophet ﷺ became so sad as we have heard that he intended several times to throw himself from the tops of high mountains and every time he went up the top of a mountain in order to throw himself down, Gabriel would appear before him and say, "O Muhammad! You are indeed Messenger of Allah ﷺ in truth" whereupon his heart would become quiet and he would calm down and would return home. And whenever the period of the coming of the inspiration used to become long, he would do as before, but when he used to reach the top of a mountain, Gabriel would appear before him and say to him what he had said before. (Ibn ʿAbbas said regarding the meaning of: 'He it is that Cleaves the daybreak (from the darkness)' (6.96) that Al-Asbah. means the light of the sun during the day and the light of the moon at night). [Machine] The Ethiopians were playing for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so he called me and I looked from above his shoulder until I was satisfied.
