The things which annul the prayers were mentioned before me. They said, "Prayer is annulled by a dog, a donkey and a woman (if they pass in front of the praying people)." I said, "You have made us (i.e. women) dogs. I saw the Prophet ﷺ praying while I used to lie in my bed between him and the Qibla. Whenever I was in need of something, I would slip away. for I disliked to face him."

أَنَّهُ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَهَا مَا يَقْطَعُ الصَّلاَةَ فَقَالُوا يَقْطَعُهَا الْكَلْبُ وَالْحِمَارُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ قَالَتْ قَدْ جَعَلْتُمُونَا كِلاَبًا لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ يُصَلِّي وَإِنِّي لَبَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ وَأَنَا مُضْطَجِعَةٌ عَلَى السَّرِيرِ فَتَكُونُ لِي الْحَاجَةُ فَأَكْرَهُ أَنْ أَسْتَقْبِلَهُ فَأَنْسَلُّ انْسِلاَلاً وَعَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ نَحْوَهُ

The things which annul prayer were mentioned before me (and those were): a dog, a donkey and a woman. I said, "You have compared us (women) to donkeys and dogs. By Allah! I saw the Prophet ﷺ praying while I used to lie in (my) bed between him and the Qibla. Whenever I was in need of something, I disliked to sit and trouble the Prophet. So, I would slip away by the side of his feet."

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَهَا مَا يَقْطَعُ الصَّلاَةَ الْكَلْبُ وَالْحِمَارُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ فَقَالَتْ شَبَّهْتُمُونَا بِالْحُمُرِ وَالْكِلاَبِ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي وَإِنِّي عَلَى السَّرِيرِ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ مُضْطَجِعَةً فَتَبْدُو لِي الْحَاجَةُ فَأَكْرَهُ أَنْ أَجْلِسَ فَأُوذِيَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَنْسَلُّ مِنْ عِنْدِ رِجْلَيْهِ

It was mentioned before'A'isha that prayer is invalidated (in case of passing) of a dog, an ass and a woman (before the worshipper, when he is not screened). Upon this 'A'isha said: You likened us to the asses and the dogs. By Allah I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying prayer while I lay on the bedstead interposing between him and the Qibla. When I felt the need, I did not like to wit to front (of the Holy Prophet) and perturb the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and quietly moved out from under its (i. e. of the bedstead) legs.

عَائِشَةُ قَدْ شَبَّهْتُمُونَا بِالْحَمِيرِ وَالْكِلاَبِ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي وَإِنِّي عَلَى السَّرِيرِ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ مُضْطَجِعَةً فَتَبْدُو لِي الْحَاجَةُ فَأَكْرَهُ أَنْ أَجْلِسَ فَأُوذِيَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَنْسَلُّ مِنْ عِنْدِ رِجْلَيْهِ

[Machine] "Some people say that prayer is disrupted by dogs, donkeys, and women. She said, 'Don't I see that they have replaced us with dogs and donkeys? Perhaps I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying at night while I am lying on the bed between him and the Qibla, and then I have a need, so I slide out from the foot of the bed, disliking to face him directly.'"

أَنَّ نَاسًا يَقُولُونَ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ يَقْطَعُهَا الْكَلْبُوَالْحِمَارُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ قَالَتْ أَلَا أَرَاهُمْ قَدْ عَدَلُونَا بِالْكِلَابِ وَالْحُمُرِ رُبَّمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا عَلَى السَّرِيرِ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ فَتَكُونُ لِي الْحَاجَةُ فَأَنْسَلُّ مِنْ قِبَلِ رِجْلِ السَّرِيرِ كَرَاهِيَةَ أَنْ أَسْتَقْبِلَهُ بِوَجْهِي

وَذَكَرَ عِنْدَهَا مَا يَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ الْكَلْبُ وَالْحِمَارُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ ؓ قَدْ شَبَّهْتُمُونَا بِالْحَمِيرِ وَالْكِلَابِ وَاللهِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا عَلَى السَّرِيرِ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ مُضْطَجِعَةٌ فَتَبْدُو لِي الْحَاجَةُ فَأَكْرَهُ أَنْ أَجْلِسَ فَأُوذِيَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَنْسَلُّ مِنْ عِنْدِ رِجْلَيْهِ

[Machine] It was said to her, "Indeed, some people say that prayer is invalidated by a dog, a donkey, and a woman." She said, "Should I not see them? They have distorted us (the women) with dogs and donkeys. And perhaps I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying at night while I am on the bed between him and the Qibla, and I have a need, so I would slide my legs from the side of the bed, out of dislike to face him directly."

قِيلَ لَهَا إِنَّ نَاسًا يَقُولُونَ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ يَقْطَعُهَا الْكَلْبُ وَالْحِمَارُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ قَالَتْ أَلَا أَرَاهُمْ قَدْ عَدَلُونَا بِالْكِلَابِ وَالْحَمِيرِ وَرُبَّمَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا عَلَى السَّرِيرِ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ فَيَكُونُ لِي حَاجَةٌ فَأَنْسَلُّ مِنْ قِبَلِ رِجْلَيِ السَّرِيرِ؛ كَرَاهِيَةَ أَنْ أَسْتَقْبِلَهُ بِوَجْهِي

إن الصلاة يقطعها الكلب والحمار والمرأة فربما رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يصلي بالليل وأنا بينه وبين القبلة فيكون لي الحاجة فأنسل من قبل رجلي السرير كراهية
