[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said to Umar ibn al-Khattab, "O Umar, gather your people for me." So he gathered them, and then the Prophet entered upon them and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have gathered them. Should they come to you or should you go to them?" He said, "No, I will go to them." The Emigrants and the Helpers heard this, and they said, "There has come a revelation about the Quraysh." The onlookers and the listeners were present with them, so the Prophet stood among them and said, "Is there anyone among you other than yourselves?" They said, "Yes, among us are our allies, the sons of our brothers, and our supporters." The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "Our allies are from among us, and our supporters are from among us." Then he said, "Do you listen to those among you who are righteous? If you are among them, then it is as I have said. If not, then hearken and beware, for people will not bring their deeds to you while you bring your burdens to them." Then he called out, raising his voice, and said, "Indeed, the Quraysh are the people of trust. Whoever transgresses against them, Allah will disgrace him from his throat." He repeated this statement three times.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ «يَا عُمَرُ اجْمَعْ لِي قَوْمَكَ» فَجَمَعَهُمْ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ جَمَعْتُهُمْ فَيَدْخُلُونَ عَلَيْكَ أَمْ تَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِمْ؟ فَقَالَ «بَلْ أَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِمْ» فَسَمِعَتْ بِذَلِكَ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ وَالْأَنْصَارُ فَقَالُوا لَقَدْ جَاءَ فِي قُرَيْشٍ وَحْيٌ فَحَضَرَ النَّاظِرُ وَالْمُسْتَمِعُ مَا يُقَالُ لَهُمْ فَقَامَ بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِهِمْ فَقَالَ «هَلْ فِيكُمْ غَيْرُكُمْ؟» قَالُوا نَعَمْ فِينَا حُلَفَاؤُنَا وَأَبْنَاءُ إِخْوَانِنَا وَمَوَالِينَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «حُلَفَاؤُنَا مِنَّا وَمَوَالِينَا مِنَّا» ثُمَّ قَالَ «أَلَسْتُمْ تَسْمَعُونَ أَوْلِيَائِي مِنْكُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ فَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ أُولَئِكَ فَذَلِكَ وَإِلَّا فَابْصُرُوا ثُمَّ ابْصُرُوا لَا يَأْتِيَنَّ النَّاسُ بِالْأَعْمَالِ وَتَأْتُونَ بِالْأَثْقَالِ فَيُعْرَضْ عَنْكُمْ» ثُمَّ نَادَى فَرَفَعَ صَوْتَهُ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ قُرَيْشًا أَهْلُ أَمَانَةٍ مَنْ بَغَاهُمُ الْعَوَاثِرَ كَبَّهُ اللَّهُ لِمِنْخَرِهِ» قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا  

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Umar, "Gather your people." So he gathered them at the house of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , then he entered upon him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, shall I bring them to you or shall I go out to them?" He said, "No, I will go out to them." So he went out to them and stood before them and said, "Are there any among you other than you?" They said, "Yes, among us are our allies, among us are the sons of our brothers, and among us are our followers." He said, "Our ally is from us and the son of our brother is from us." He said, "You hear that indeed my friends from among you are the righteous, so if you are among them, then that is good, otherwise beware that people will come with deeds on the Day of Judgment and you will come with burdens, so I will turn away from you." Then he raised his hands while standing and they were sitting and he said, "O people, indeed the Quraysh are the people of trust, and whoever harms them, Allah will disgrace him from his nose." He repeated this three times.  

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِعُمَرَ ؓ «اجْمَعْ قَوْمَكَ» فَجَمَعَهُمْ عِنْدَ بَيْتِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أُدْخِلُهُمْ عَلَيْكَ أَوْ تَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِمْ؟ فَقَالَ «لَا بَلْ أَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِمْ» فَأَتَاهُمْ فَقَامَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ «هَلْ فِيكُمْ غَيْرُكُمْ؟» فَقَالُوا نَعَمْ فِينَا حُلَفَاؤُنَا وَفِينَا أَبْنَاءُ إِخْوَتِنَا وَفِينَا مَوَالِينَا فَقَالَ «حَلِيفُنَا مِنَّا وَابْنُ أَخِينَا مِنَّا» قَالَ «أَنْتُمْ تَسْمَعُونَ إِنَّ أَوْلِيَائِيَ مِنْكُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ فَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ أُولَئِكَ فَذَلِكَ وَإِلَّا فَانْظُرُوا لَا يَأْتِ النَّاسُ بِالْأَعْمَالِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَتَأْتُونَ بِأثْقَالٍ فَأَعْرِضُ عَنْكُمْ» ثُمَّ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ وَهُمْ قُعُودٌ فَقَالَ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ قُرَيْشًا أَهْلُ أَمَانَةٍ وَمَنْ بَغَاهُمْ الْعَوَاثِرَ أَكَبَّهُ اللهُ لِمَنْخِرِهِ» قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا  

"عَنْ إسماعيل بن عبيدِ بن رفاعةَ عن أبيه، قال: قالَ عمرُ بنُ الخطابِ: قال لى رسول الله ﷺ اجمعْ قومَك، قلت: بنى عَدِى؟ قال: لا، ولكن قريشًا، فجمعتُهم فتسامعت الأنصارُ والمهاجرون بذلك، فقالوا: لقد نزل اليوم في قريشٍ وحىٌ فجئت إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقلت: لقد جمعت لك قومى، فأُدخلُهم عليك أو تخرجُ إليهم؟ فقال: بل أخرجُ إليهم فخرج، فقال: هل فيكم من غيركم؟ فقالوا: حلفاؤنا وبنو إخواننا وموالينا منا، ثم قال: ألستم تسمعون أن أوليائى منكم يوم القيامة المتقون، ألا لا أعرفنَّ الناس تأتى بالأعمال وَتَأتُونَنِى بالأثقال، والله لا أغنى عنكم من الله شيئًا، ثم قال:

إن قريشا أهل أمانة، من بغى عليهم العواثر كبه الله على وجههِ في النارِ، يقول ذلك ثلاث مرات".  

"أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ قَالَ لِعُمَرَ: اجْمَعْ لِى قَوْمَكَ، فَجَمَعَهُمْ عِنْدَ بَيْتِ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ ، فَكَانُوا بِالْبَابِ، ثُمَّ دَخَلَ عَليْهِ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ الله أُدْخِلُهُمْ عَلَيْكَ، أَوْ تَخْرُجُ إلَيْهِمْ؟ قَالَ: لَا، بَلْ أَخْرُجُ إِلَيْهِمْ، فَأتَاهُمْ فَقَامَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقالَ. هَلْ فِيكُمْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ؟ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ فِينَا خُلَفَاؤُنَا، وَفِينَا أَبْنَاءُ أَخَواتِنَا، وَفِينَا مَوَالِينَا، حَلِيفُنا مِنَّا، وَابْنُ أُخْتِنَا مِنَّا، وَمَوْلَانَا مِنَّا، قَالَ: أَنْتُمْ تَسْمَعُونَ أَنَّ أَوْلِيائى مِنْكُمْ الْمُتَّقُونَ، فَإنْ كُنْتُمْ أُوَلئكَ فَذَاكَ، وَإِلَّا فَانْظُرُوا لَا يَأتِى النَّاسُ بِالأَعْمَالِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَتَأتُونَ بالأَثْقَالِ تَحْمِلُونَهَا عَلَى ظُهُورِكُمْ، فَأُعْرِضُ عَنْكُمْ (* *)، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ يَدَيْه وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ وَهُمْ قُعُودٌ فَقَالَ: يَأَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ قُرَيْشًا أَهْلُ صَبْرٍ وَأَمَانةٍ، فَمَنْ بَغَى لَهُمْ الْعَوَاثِرَ أَكَبَّهُ الله لمِنْخَرَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَهَا ثَلَاثًا".
