[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Mock the Quraysh, for it troubles them more than the raising of the nobility." So he sent to Ibn Rawaha and said, "Mock them." He mocked them, but they were not pleased. So he sent to Ka'b ibn Malik, then he sent to Hassan ibn Thabit. When Hassan entered, he said, "It is time for you to send to this lion striking with his tail." Then he moved his tongue and began to recite poetry. He said, "By the One who sent you with the truth, I will make them flee, tearing the flesh." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not hurry, for Abu Bakr is more knowledgeable of the lineage of the Quraysh than anyone, and I have a lineage among them until your lineage is purified." So Hassan went to him and then returned and said, "O Messenger of Allah, your lineage is pure to me. By the One who sent you with the truth, I will answer them like separating a hair from dough." Aisha said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say to Hassan, 'The Holy Spirit continues to support you as long as you defend Allah and His Messenger.'" She said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Hassan mocked them and they were healed and felt pain.'" Hassan said.  

الطبراني:٣٥٨٢حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ غَزِيَّةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «اهْجُوا قُرَيْشًا فَإِنَّهُ أَشَدُّ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ رَشْقِ النَّبْلِ» فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى ابْنِ رَوَاحَةَ فَقَالَ «اهْجُهُمْ» فَهَجَاهُمْ فَلَمْ يَرْضَ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَ إِلَى حَسَّانِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ حَسَّانٌ قَالَ «قَدْ آنَ لَكُمْ أَنْ تُرْسِلُوا إِلَى هَذَا الْأَسَدِ الضَّارِبِ بِذَنَبِهِ» ثُمَّ دَلَعَ لِسَانَهُ فَجَعَلَ يُحَرِّكُهُ قَالَ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَأَفْرِيَنَّهُمْ فَرْيَ الْأَدِيمِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَعْجَلْ فَإِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ أَعْلَمُ قُرَيْشٍ بِأَنْسَابِهَا وَإِنَّ لِي فِيهِمْ نَسَبًا حَتَّى يَخْلُصَ لَكَ نَسَبِي» فَأَتَاهُ حَسَّانٌ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ خَلَصَ لِي نَسَبُكَ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لَأَسُلَّنَّكَ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا تُسَلُّ الشَّعَرَةُ مِنَ الْعَجِينِ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لِحَسَّانٍ «إِنَّ رُوحَ الْقُدُسِ لَا يَزَالُ يُؤَيِّدُكَ مَا نَافَحْتَ عَنِ اللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ» قَالَتْ فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «هَجَاهُمْ حَسَّانُ فَشَفَى وَاشْتَفَى» قَالَ حَسَّانُ

Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Don't be hasty; (let) Abu Bakr who has the best know- ledge of the lineage of the Quraish draw a distinction for you in regard to my lineage, as my lineage is thesame as theirs. Hassan then came to him (Abu Bakr) and after making inquiry (in regard to the lineage of the Holy Prophet) came back to him (the holy Prophet) and said: Messenger of Allah, he (Abu Bakr) has drawn a distinction in vour lineage (and that of the Quraish) By Him Who has sent you with Truth, I shall draw out from them (your name) as hair is drawn out from the flour. 'A'isha said: I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying to Hassin: Verily Ruh-ul- Qudus would continue to help you so long as you put up a defence on behalf of Allah and His Messenger. And she said: I heard Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: Hassan satirised against them and gave satisfaction to the (Muslims) and disquieted (the non-Muslims). You satirised Muhammad, but I replied on his behalf, And there is reward with Allah for this. You satirised Muhammad. virtuous, righteous, The Apostle of Allah, whose nature is truthfulness. So verily my father and his father and my honour Are a protection to the honour of Muhammad; May I lose my dear daughter, if you don't see her, Wiping away the dust from the two sides of Kada', They pull at the rein, going upward; On their shoulders are spears thirsting (for the blood of the enemy) ; our steeds are sweating-our women wipe them with their mantles. If you had not interfered with us, we would have performed the 'Umra, And (then) there was the Victory, and the darkness cleared away. Otherwise wait for the fighting on the day in which Allah will honour whom He pleases. And Allah said: I have sent a servant who says the Truth in which there is no ambiguity; And Allah said: I have prepared an army-they are the Ansar whose object is fighting (the enemy), There reaches every day from Ma'add abuse, or fighting or satire; Whoever satirises the Apostle from amongst you, or praises him and helps it is all the same, And Gabriel, the Messenger of Allah is among us, and the Holy Spirit who has no match.

"عَنْ أَبِى سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: لَمَّا أَنْ هَجَتْ قُرَيْشٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أحزنه ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَوَاحَةَ: اهْجُ قُرَيْشًا، فَهَجَاهُمْ هِجَاءً لَيْسَ بِالْبَلِيغِ إِلَيْهِمْ، فَلَمْ يَرْضَ بِهِ، فَبَعَثَ إِلَى كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ فَقَالَ: اهْجُ قُرَيْشًا، فهجاهم هِجَاءً لَمْ يَبْلُغْ فِيهِ، فَلَمْ يَرْضَ بِذَلِكَ، فَبَعَثَ إِلَى حَسَّان بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، وَكَانَ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ إِلَى حَسَّان، فَقَالَ حَسَّانُ حِينَ جَاءَهُ الرَّسُولُ أَنِ اهجُ قُرَيْشًا: قَدْ آنَ لَكُمْ أَنْ تَبْعَثُوا إِلَى هَذَا الأَسَدِ الضَّارِبِ بِذَنَبِهِ فَقَالَ حَسَّانُ: وَالَّذِى بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لأَفْرِينَّهُمْ بِلِسَانِى هَذَا، ثُمَّ أَطلَعَ لِسَانَهُ، فَتَقُولُ عَائِشَةُ: وَاللَّهِ كَأَنَّ لِسَانَهُ لِسَانُ حَيَّةٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ : إِنَّ لِى فِيهِمْ نَسَبًا وَأَنَا أَخْشَى أَنْ تُصِيبَ بَعْضَهُ، فَأتِ أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَإِنَّهُ أَعْلَمُ قُرَيْشٍ بِأَنْسَابِهَا فيخلُصُ لَكَ نَسَبِى، قَالَ حَسَّانُ: وَالَّذِى بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ لأَسُلَّنَّكَ مْنِهُمْ وَنَسَبَكَ مثل سَلِّ الشَّعْرَةِ مِنَ الْعَجِينِ، فَهَجَاهُمْ حَسَّانُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ : لَقَدْ شَفَيْتَ يَا حَسَّانُ واشتفيت".

"حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ الطَّائِي، حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئِبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عمرَ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ ذَكْوَانَ عن يمان، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: اهْجُوا قُرَيْشًا فَإِنَّهُ أَشَدُّ عَلَيْهِم مِنْ رَشْقِ النَّبْلِ، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى ابْنِ

رَوَاحَةَ فَقَالَ: اهْجُهُمْ، فَهَجَاهُمْ فَلَمْ يَرْضَ، فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، ثُمَّ أَرْسَلَ إِلَى حَسَّانَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ حَسَّانُ قَالَ: قَدْ آنَ لَكُمْ أَنْ تُرْسِلُوا إِلَى هَذَا الأسد الضَّارِبِ بِذَنَبِهِ ثُم [أَدْلَعٍ] لِسَانَهُ فَجَعَلَ يُخْرِجُهُ، فَقَالَ: وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالحَقِّ لأفْرِيَنَّهُمْ بِلِسانِي فَرْىَ الأَدِيمِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ : لَا تَعْجَلْ فَإِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ أَعْلَمُ قُريْشٍ بأَنْسَابِهَا وَأَزْكَى فِيهمِ نَسَبًا حَتَّى يُخَلِّصَ نَسَبِي فَأَتَاهُ حَسَّانُ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ! قَدْ خَلَّصْتُ نَسَبَكَ، وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالحَقِّ لأَسُلَّنَّكَ مِنْهُم كَمَا تُسَلُّ الشَّعْرَةُ مِنَ العَجِينِ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لِحَسَّان: إِنَّ رُوحَ القُدُسِ لَا يَزَالُ يُؤيدُكَ مَا نَافَحْتَ عَنِ اللهِ - تَعَالَى- وَرَسُولِهِ، وَقَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: هَجَاهُمْ فَأَشْفى وَاشْتَفَى".
