Ibn 'Abbas reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever fashions an image will have to breathe life into it and he will be punished since he will not be able to breathe life into it. Anyone who claims to have seen a vision in a dream will have to string two beads of barely together and he will be punished because he will not be able to string them together. Anyone who listens to people's conversation when they move away from him will have molten lead poured into his ears."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَنْفُخَ فِيهِ وَعُذِّبَ وَلَنْ يَنْفُخَ فِيهِ وَمَنْ تَحَلَّمَ كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ وَعُذِّبَ وَلَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَهُمَا وَمَنِ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ يَفِرُّونَ مِنْهُ صُبَّ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ الآنُكُ

If anyone makes a representation of anything, Allah will punish him on the Day of Resurrection for it until he breathes into it, but he will be unable to do so. If anyone pretends to have had a dream which he did not see, he will be ordered to tie a knot in a grain of barley. If anyone listens to other people’s talk when they try to avoid him, lead will be poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً عَذَّبَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ وَمَنْ تَحَلَّمَ كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ شَعِيرَةً وَمَنِ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ يَفِرُّونَ بِهِ مِنْهُ صُبَّ فِي أُذُنِهِ الآنُكُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever fashions an image, he will be punished by Allah until he breathes into it - meaning the soul - and he cannot breath (a soul) into it. And whoever listens to a people's conversation, while they have gone away from him for it, then He will have lead poured into his ears on the Day of Judgement." He said: There are narrations on this topic from 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud, Abu Hurairah, Abu Juhaifah, 'Aishah, and Ibn 'Umar.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً عَذَّبَهُ اللَّهُ حَتَّى يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا يَعْنِي الرُّوحَ وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ فِيهَا وَمَنِ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ وَهُمْ يَفِرُّونَ بِهِ مِنْهُ صُبَّ فِي أُذُنِهِ الآنُكُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ وَعَائِشَةَ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ

" From the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "Whoever lies about his dream, he will be required to knot barely kernels on the Day of Judgement."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ كَذَبَ فِي حُلْمِهِ كُلِّفَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَقْدَ شَعِيرَةٍ

"Whoever lies about having a dream, he will be required to knot two barely kernels together on the Day Of Judgment., and he will never be able to knot them together."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ تَحَلَّمَ كَاذِبًا كُلِّفَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ وَلَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَهُمَا

“Whoever tells of a false dream, will be ordered (on the Day of Resurrection) to tie two grains of barley together, and he will be punished for that.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ تَحَلَّمَ حُلُمًا كَاذِبًا كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ وَيُعَذَّبُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Whoever listens to the conversations of a people while they dislike him, it is poured into his ear."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنِ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ صُبَّ فِي أُذُنِهِ الْآنُكُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever makes a picture will be punished on the Day of Resurrection and will be told to breathe life into it, but he will not be able to do so. And whoever imitates the creation of Allah will be punished on the Day of Resurrection and will be told to breathe life into it, but he will not be able to do so. And whoever listens to the conversation of a people who are running away from him, a molten lead will be poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً عُذِّبَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ وَمَنْ تَحَلَّمَ عُذِّبَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يَعْقِدَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ وَلَيْسَ عَاقِدًا وَمَنِ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ يَفِرُّونَ بِهِ مِنْهُ صُبَّ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَذَابٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever listens to the speech of a people, while they hate him, pours molten lead into his ears, and whoever dreams something false will be punished until he ties a camel's hair, but he is not able to do so, and whoever captures a picture will be commanded to breathe life into it, but he is not able to do so."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ تَسَمَّعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ صُبَّ فِي أُذُنِهِ الْآنُكُ وَمَنْ تَحَلَّمَ عُذِّبَ حَتَّى يَعْقِدَ شَعِيرَةً وَلَيْسَ بِعَاقِدٍ وَمَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَنْفُخَ وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "Whoever makes a picture will be commanded on the Day of Resurrection to breathe soul into it, and he will be punished, but he will not be able to breathe soul into it. And whoever imitates Allah in the creation of living beings, they will be required on the Day of Resurrection to bring them to life, and they will be punished, but they will not be able to bring them to life. And whoever listens to the conversation of people who dislike it, molten lead will be poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection." Isma'il, meaning the bullet, said: "Does that include the pouring of melted lead?"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً كُلِّفَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنْ يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا وَعُذِّبَ وَلَنْ يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا وَمَنْ تَحَلَّمَ كُلِّفَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ أَوْ قَالَ بَيْنَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ وَعُذِّبَ وَلَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَهُمَا وَمَنِ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ يَكْرَهُونَهُ صُبَّ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ الْآنُكُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ يَعْنِي الرَّصَاصَ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: Whoever makes an image of a living being will be punished on the Day of Resurrection until he breathes life into it, and he will not be able to do so. And whoever listens to the conversation of a people who do not like his listening, then molten lead will be poured into his ears. And whoever tells a lie in his dream, he will have a barley-corn tied to his neck, and he will be punished until it is attached to his chin, and he will not be able to remove it.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً عُذِّبَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا الرُّوحَ وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ فِيهَا وَمَنْ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ وَلَا يُعْجِبُهُمْ أَنْ يُسْتَمَعَ حَدِيثُهُمْ أُذِيبَ فِي أُذُنِهِ الْآنُكُ وَمَنْ تَحَلَّمَ كَاذِبًا دُفِعَ إِلَيْهِ شَعِيرَةٌ وَعُذِّبَ حَتَّى يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهَا وَلَيْسَ بِعَاقِدٍ

" From the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "Whoever lies about his dream, he will be required to knot barely kernels on the Day of Judgement." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2281)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ كَذَبَ فِي حُلْمِهِ كُلِّفَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَقْدَ شَعِيرَةٍ»

" From the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "Whoever lies about his dream, he will be required to knot barely kernels on the Day of Judgement." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2281)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ كَذَبَ فِي حُلْمِهِ كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ»

[AI] On the authority of the Prophetﷺ he said, "Whoever makes a picture or image will be punished until he breathes the spirit into it, and it will never have a spirit in it. And whoever has a false dream will be ordered to tie it between two hairs and will be punished for that. And whoever listens to a people while they dislike him, let him pour molten lead into his ears on the Day of Resurrection."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً فَإِنَّهُ يُعَذَّبُ حَتَّى يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا الرُّوحَ وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ فِيهَا الرُّوحَ وَمَنْ تَحَلَّمَ حُلْمًا كَاذِبًا كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ وَيُعَذَّبُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ وَمَنِ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى قَوْمٍ وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ صُبَّ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ الْآنُكُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً عَذَّبَهُ اللَّهُ حَتَّى يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ وَمَنِ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ يَفِرُّونَ مِنْهُ صُبَّ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ الْآنُكُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ تَحَلَّمَ كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ وَلَيْسَ بِفَاعِلٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever sees with his eyes in a dream what he did not see, he will not be held accountable on the Day of Judgment for fulfilling it. And whoever listens to the conversation of people while they dislike him, it will be poured into his ear on the Day of Judgment."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الَّذِي يُرِي عَيْنَيْهِ فِي الْمَنَامِ مَا لَمْ يَرَ يُكَلَّفُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ وَالَّذِي يَسْتَمِعُ حَدِيثَ قَوْمٍ وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ يُصَبُّ فِي أُذُنِهِ الْآنُكُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever listens to the conversation of a people while they hate him, it will be poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever sees things in his dream that he did not see, he is commanded to tie a knot."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «مَنِ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ صُبَّ فِي أُذُنِهَ الْآنُكُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ أَرَى عَيْنَيْهِ فِي الْمَنَامِ مَا لَمْ يَرَ كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ شَعِيرَةً»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Whoever creates a picture/image will be commanded on the Day of Judgment to give life to it, and whoever listens to the conversation of people while they dislike it, molten lead will be poured into his ears, and whoever falsely claims to have dreamt something will be commanded to tie two barely ears together."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً كُلِّفَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنْ يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا الرُّوحَ وَمَنِ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى كَلَامِ قَوْمٍ وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ صُبَّ فِي أُذُنِهِ الْآنُكُ وَمَنْ تَحَلَّمَ كَاذِبًا كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ»

[AI] That the Prophet ﷺ said: Whoever creates an image will be commanded on the Day of Judgment to give it life, but he will never be able to do so, and he will be punished for it. And whoever listens to the conversation of a people while they dislike him, then he has poured hot lead into his ears. And whoever lies in his dream will be commanded to tie a knot between two hairs, and he will be punished for that, and he will never be able to do so.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً كُلِّفَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنْ يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا الرُّوحَ وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ أَبَدًا وَيُعَذَّبُ عَلَيْهِ وَمَنِ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ صُبَّ الْآنُكُ فِي سماخِهِ وَمَنْ كَذَبَ فِي حُلْمِهِ كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ شَعِيرَةً أَوْ قَالَ بَيْنِ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ وَيُعَذَّبُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ وَلَيْسَ بِفَاعِلٍ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "Whoever listens to the speech of a people while they dislike him, then molten lead will be poured into his ears. And whoever makes an image (of any living being), shall be punished until he gives life to it. And he will never be able to give life to it."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنِ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ صُبَّ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ الْآنُكُ وَمَنْ تَحَلَّمَ كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَ شَعِيرَةٍ وَيُعَذَّبُ وَلَيْسَ بِعَاقِدٍ وَمَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً عُذِّبَ حَتَّى يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا الرُّوحَ وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever makes a picture (of a living being), he will be punished and will be commanded to breathe life into it, but he will not be able to breathe life into it. And whoever tells a false dream, he will be punished and will be commanded to tie between two hairs, but he will not be able to do so. And whoever listens to the conversation of a people who dislike him, molten lead will be poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection." Sufyan said, "Nowadays, molten lead is what bullets are made of."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً عُذِّبَ وَكُلِّفَ أَنْ يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا الرُّوحَ وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ وَمَنْ تَحَلَّمَ كَاذِبًا عُذِّبَ وَكُلِّفَ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ وَلَيْسَ بِعَاقِدٍ وَمَنِ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ صُبَّ فِي أُذُنِهِ الْآنُكُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ الْآنُكُ الرَّصَاصُ

"مَنِ اسْتَمع إِلَى حدِيثِ قَوْمٍ وهُمْ إِلَيهِ كَارِهُونَ صُبَّ في أَذُنَيهِ الآنُكُ، ومنْ أَرى عينَيهِ في الْمنَامِ ما لَمْ يَرَ كُلِّفَ أَنْ يعْقِد شَعِيَرةً".

"مَنْ تَحَلَّم كَاذِبًا كُلِّفَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أنْ يَعْقِد بَينَ شَعِيرَتَينِ، وَلَن يَعْقِدَ بَينَهُما".

"مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً عُذِّبَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَة حَتَّى يَنْفُخَ فِيهِ (*) الرُّوحَ وَلَيسَ بنَافِخٍ فِيهَا، وَمَنْ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ وَلا يُعْجِبُهُمْ أَنْ يَسْتَمِع حَدِيثَهُمْ أُذِيبَ في أُذُنَيهِ الآنُكُ، وَمَنْ تَحَلَّمَ كَاذِبًا دُفِعَ إِلَيهِ شعِيرَةٌ وَعُذِّبَ حَتَّى يَعْقِدَ بَينَ طَرَفَيهَا وَلَيسَ بِعَاقِدٍ".

"منْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً عَذَّبَهُ اللهُ بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يَنْفُخَ، وَلَيسَ

بِنَافِخٍ، وَمَنْ تَحَلَّمَ، كُلِّفَ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ شَعِيرَتَينِ، وَلَيسَ بِعَاقِدٍ، وَمَنْ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قوْم يَفِرُّونَ بِهِ مِنْهُ، صُبَّ في أُذُنَيهِ الآنكُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ".
