The Prophet ﷺ was ordered (by Allah) to prostrate on seven parts and not to tuck up the clothes or hair (while praying). Those parts are: the forehead (along with the tip of nose), both hands, both knees, and (toes of) both feet.

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أُمِرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْضَاءٍ وَلاَ يَكُفَّ شَعَرًا وَلاَ ثَوْبًا الْجَبْهَةِ وَالْيَدَيْنِ وَالرُّكْبَتَيْنِ وَالرِّجْلَيْنِ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "We have been ordered to prostrates on seven bones and not to tuck up the clothes or hair."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أُمِرْنَا أَنْ نَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ وَلاَ نَكُفَّ ثَوْبًا وَلاَ شَعَرًا

The Prophet ﷺ said, "I have been ordered to prostrate on seven bones i.e. on the forehead along with the tip of the nose and the Prophet ﷺ pointed towards his nose, both hands, both knees and the toes of both feet and not to gather the clothes or the hair."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ عَلَى الْجَبْهَةِ وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى أَنْفِهِ وَالْيَدَيْنِ وَالرُّكْبَتَيْنِ وَأَطْرَافِ الْقَدَمَيْنِ وَلاَ نَكْفِتَ الثِّيَابَ وَالشَّعَرَ

The Prophet ﷺ was ordered to prostrate on seven bony parts and not to tuck up his clothes or hair.

أُمِرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ وَلاَ يَكُفَّ ثَوْبَهُ وَلاَ شَعَرَهُ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "I have been ordered to prostrate on seven (bones) and not to tuck up the hair or garment."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةٍ لاَ أَكُفُّ شَعَرًا وَلاَ ثَوْبًا

I was commanded to prostrate myself on seven bones and not to fold back clothing or hair.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ وَلاَ أَكُفَّ ثَوْبًا وَلاَ شَعْرًا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had been commanded to prostrate on seven (bones) and forbidden to fold back hair and clothing.

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أُمِرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعٍ وَنُهِيَ أَنْ يَكْفِتَ الشَّعْرَ وَالثِّيَابَ

I have been commanded to prostrate myself on seven bones:" forehead," and then pointed with his hand towards his nose, hands, feet, and the extremities of the feet; and we were forbidden to fold back clothing and hair.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ الْجَبْهَةِ وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى أَنْفِهِ وَالْيَدَيْنِ وَالرِّجْلَيْنِ وَأَطْرَافِ الْقَدَمَيْنِ وَلاَ نَكْفِتَ الثِّيَابَ وَلاَ الشَّعْرَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I was commanded to prostrate myself on the seven (bones) and forbidden to fold back hair and clothing. (The seven bones are): forehead, nose, hands, knees and feet.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعٍ وَلاَ أَكْفِتَ الشَّعْرَ وَلاَ الثِّيَابَ الْجَبْهَةِ وَالأَنْفِ وَالْيَدَيْنِ وَالرُّكْبَتَيْنِ وَالْقَدَمَيْنِ

Ibn Abbas reported the Prophet ﷺ as saying: I have been commanded - according to the version of Hammad: Your Prophet ﷺ was commanded - to prostrate on seven (bones), and not to fold back the hair or the clothing.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أُمِرْتُ قَالَ حَمَّادٌ أُمِرَ نَبِيُّكُمْ ﷺ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةٍ وَلاَ يَكُفَّ شَعْرًا وَلاَ ثَوْبًا

"The Prophet ordered that one prostrate on seven bones and that he not gather his hair nor his garment."

أُمِرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ وَلاَ يَكُفَّ شَعْرَهُ وَلاَ ثِيَابَهُ

"The Prophet ﷺ was commanded to prostrate on seven parts of his body and not to tuck up his hair or his garment."

أُمِرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْضَاءٍ وَلاَ يَكُفَّ شَعْرَهُ وَلاَ ثِيَابَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I have been commanded to prostrate on seven, and not to tuck up my hair nor my garment: the forehead, the nose, the hands, the knees and the feet."

أُمِرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ وَنُهِيَ أَنْ يَكُفَّ الشَّعْرَ وَالثِّيَابَ

“I have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones.”

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ

The Prophet ﷺ said: “I was commanded not to tuck up my hair or my garment.”* *Drawing together during prostration to protect it from the dirt.

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ لاَ أَكُفَّ شَعْرًا وَلاَ ثَوْبًا

The Prophet ﷺ said: "I have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones: on the forehead"- and he pointed with his hand- "on the nose, the hands, the knees and the ends of the feet." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1097)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ الْجَبْهَةِ قَالَ وُهَيْبٌ وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى أَنْفِهِ وَالْيَدَيْنِ وَالرُّكْبَتَيْنِ وَأَطْرَافِ الْقَدَمَيْنِ وَلَا نَكُفَّ الثِّيَابَ وَلَا الشَّعَرَ

The Apostle of Allah ﷺ had been commanded that he should prostrate on the seven (bones) and he was forbidden to fold back the hair and clothing. And in the narration transmitted by Abu Rabi' (the words are):" on the seven bones and I was forbidden to fold back the hair and clothing". According to Abu'l-Rabi' (the seven bones are): The hands, the knees, and the (extremities) of the feet and the forehead. (Using translation from Muslim 490a)

أُمِرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعٍ وَنُهِيَ أَنْ يَكُفَّ شَعَرَهُ وَثِيَابَهُ

[AI] Narrated by Ibn Abbas: The Prophet ﷺ was ordered to prostrate on seven body parts, and he was forbidden to cover his hair or garment.

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أُمِرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعٍ وَنُهِيَ أَنْ يَكُفَّ شَعْرًا أَوْ ثَوْبًا

[AI] That he should prostrate on seven (body parts), without touching any hair or clothing. Then he said again, it was commanded to your Prophet ﷺ to prostrate on seven (body parts), without touching any hair or clothing.

أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةٍ وَلا أَكُفَّ شَعَرًا وَلا ثَوْبًا ثُمَّ قَالَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى أُمِرَ نَبِيُّكُمْ ﷺ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعٍ وَلا يَكُفَّ شَعَرًا وَلا ثَوْبًا

"The Prophet ﷺ was commanded to prostrate on seven parts of his body and not to tuck up his hair or his garment." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1093)

أُمِرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعٍ وَلا يَكُفَّشَعْرًا وَلا ثَوْبًا

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: I have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones, and not to touch any hair or clothing. And he said another time: Your Prophet ﷺ has been commanded to prostrate on seven bones, and not to touch any hair or clothing."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ وَلا أَكُفَّ شَعَرًا وَلا ثَوْبًا وَقَالَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى أُمِرَ نَبِيُّكُمْ ﷺ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ وَلا يَكُفَّ شَعَرًا وَلا ثَوْبًا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I have been commanded to prostrate on seven, and not to tuck up my hair nor my garment: the forehead, the nose, the hands, the knees and the feet." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1096)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ الْجَبْهَةِ وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى أَنْفِهِ وَالْيَدَيْنِ وَالرُّكْبَتَيْنِ وَالْقَدَمَيْنِ وَلَا أَكُفَّ الثِّيَابَ وَلَا الشَّعْرَ»

[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ it is narrated, he said: "As for me, I prostrate on seven bones, and I do not touch (my head) to any hair or garment."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «أَمَّا أَنَا فَأَسْجُدُ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ وَلَا أَكُفُّ شَعْرًا وَلَا ثَوْبًا»

[AI] "To prostrate on seven of the greatest places and not remove any hair or clothing."

أَنْ نَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ وَلَا نَكُفُّ شَعْرًا وَلَا ثَوْبًا»

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ ordered us to prostrate on seven parts and not to touch any hair or clothing."

«أُمَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ نَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعٍ وَلَا نَكُفَّ شَعْرًا وَلَا ثَوْبًا»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ was commanded to prostrate on his seven body parts: his face, hands, knees, and feet. He was forbidden from wiping over hair or clothing.

أُمِرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعٍ وَجْهِهِ وَكَفَّيْهِ وَرُكْبَتَيْهِ وَقَدَمَيْهِ وَنُهِي أَنْ نكُفَّ شَعْرًا أَوْ ثَوْبًا

«أُمِرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةٍ وَأَنْ يَكُفَّ شَعْرَهُ أَوْ ثِيَابَهُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have been ordered to prostrate on seven parts: the nose, the forehead, the palms, the knees, and the tips of the toes, and not to gather any hair or clothing."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْضَاءٍ الْأَنْفِ وَالْجَبْهَةِ وَالراحَتَيْنِ وَأَطْرَافِ الْأَصَابِعِ وَلَا أَكُفَّ شَعْرًا وَلَا ثَوْبًا

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "I have been commanded to prostrate on seven body parts and not touch hair or clothing."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ وَلَا أَكُفَّ شَعْرًا وَلَا ثَوْبًا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones, and not to fold a hair or a garment."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ وَلَا أَكُفَّ شَعْرًا وَلَا ثَوْبًا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have been commanded to prostrate on seven body parts and prohibited from plucking hair or tearing clothing."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ وَنُهِيتُ أَنْ أَكُفَّ شَعْرًا أَوْ ثَوْبًا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones, and not to fold the hair or clothes."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ وَلَا نَكُفَّ الشَّعْرَ وَلَا الثِّيَابَ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said: "The son of Adam has been commanded to prostrate himself on seven bones."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «أُمِرَ ابْنُ آدَمَ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have been commanded to prostrate on seven body parts and to not cover myself with a garment or hair."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْضَاءٍ وَأَنْ لَا أَكُفَّ لِي ثَوْبًا وَلَا شَعْرًا»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "We were commanded to face seven major things and were ordered not to cut fabric or hair."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «وُجِّهْنَا عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ وَأُمِرْنَا أَنْ لَا نَكُفَّ ثَوْبًا وَلَا شَعْرًا»
