[Machine] I hear their conversation, so Muawiyah woke up and took hold of the two corners of the Kaaba, and Ibn Abbas said to him, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not take hold of these two corners." Muawiyah said to him, "Leave me, O Ibn Abbas, for there is nothing of it abandoned."  

الطبراني:١٠٦٣٢حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا أَبِي قَالَا ثنا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطُّفَيْلِ أَنَّهُ رَأَى مُعَاوِيَةَ يَطُوفُ بِالْكَعْبَةِ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَنَا أَتْلُوهُمَا فِي ظُهُورِهِمَا

أَسْمَعُ كَلَامَهُمَا فَطَفِقَ مُعَاوِيَةُ يَسْتَلِمُ رُكْنَيِ الْحَجَرِ فَيَقُولُ لَهُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَسْتَلِمُ هَذَيْنِ الرُّكْنَيْنِ فَيَقُولُ مُعَاوِيَةُ ذَرْنِي مِنْكَ يَا ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ؛ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ مِنْهَا مَهْجُورًا

Abu Ash-Sha'tha said, "Who keeps away from some portion of the Ka'bah?" Mu'awiya used to touch the four corners of the Ka'bah, Ibn 'Abbas said to him, "These two corners (the one facing the Hijr) are not to be touched." Mu'awiya said, "Nothing is untouchable in the Ka'bah." And Ibn Az-Zubair used to touch all the corners of the Ka'bah.  

البخاري:١٦٠٨وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ

[Machine] "I heard their conversation, so Muawiyah woke up and took the corner of the Kaaba. Abdullah ibn Abbas said to him, 'Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not take hold of these two corners.' Muawiyah responded, 'Leave me alone, O Ibn Abbas, for there is nothing abandoned from it.' Ibn Abbas woke up, and whenever he placed his hand on something from the two corners, he said to him, 'That is not correct.'"

[Machine] He circled the Kaaba with Muawiyah, and Muawiyah began to touch all of its corners. Ibn Abbas said to him, "Why are you touching these two corners? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not touch them." Muawiyah said, "There is nothing abandoned in the Kaaba." Ibn Abbas said, "Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example." Muawiyah said, "You have spoken the truth."  

أحمد:١٨٧٧حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ حَدَّثَنِي خُصَيْفٌ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّهُ طَافَ مَعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ بِالْبَيْتِ فَجَعَلَ مُعَاوِيَةُ يَسْتَلِمُ الْأَرْكَانَ كُلَّهَا فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ لِمَ تَسْتَلِمُ هَذَيْنِ الرُّكْنَيْنِ؟ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْتَلِمُهُمَا فَقَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ مَهْجُورًافَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ {لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ} [الأحزاب 21] فَقَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ صَدَقْتَ

[Machine] Muawiyah only took control of these two Yemeni pillars after the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , had passed away. Ibn Abbas said, "None of its pillars are neglected."  

أحمد:١٦٨٩٧حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ قَالَ حَجَّ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ وَمُعَاوِيَةُ فَجَعَلَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَسْتَلِمُ الْأَرْكَانَ كُلَّهَا فَقَالَ

مُعَاوِيَةُ إِنَّمَا اسْتَلَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ هَذَيْنِ الرُّكْنَيْنِ الْيَمَانِيَّيْنِ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ لَيْسَ مِنْ أَرْكَانِهِ مَهْجُورٌ

[Machine] "Muaawiya woke up as he heard their conversation, then he received the two corners of the Kaaba and Ibn Abbas said to him, 'Verily, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not receive these two corners.' Mu'awiya said, 'O Ibn Abbas, there is nothing from it that is neglected.' So Ibn Abbas became restless, not leaving him whenever he placed his hand on anything from the two corners, except he would say to him, 'That's it.'"
