24. Chapter of Lām (Male) (2/2)
٢٤۔ بَابُ اللَّامِ ص ٢
[Machine] It was presented to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Khaybar a cooked sheep. He and Bashir bin Al-Bara' bin Ma'rur ate from it, then both of them became seriously ill. Eventually, Bashir died. When he died, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent to the Jewish woman who had presented it and said, "What did you feed us, may Allah curse you?" She replied, "I poisoned you." He asked, "What made you do that?" She said, "I heard you mention that if you were a prophet, it would not harm you, but if you were not, I wanted to relieve people from you." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered her to be crucified.
أُهْدِيَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرٍ شَاةٌ مَصْلِيَّةٌ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا هُوَ وَبِشْرُ بْنُ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ مَعْرُورٍ فَمَرِضَا مَرَضًا شَدِيدًا ثُمَّ إِنَّ بَشَرًا مَاتَ فَلَمَّا مَاتَ أَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْيَهُودِيَّةِ الَّتِي أَهْدَتْهَا فَقَالَ «مَا أَطْعَمْتِنَا وَيْحَكِ؟» فَقَالَتْ أَطْعَمْتُكَ السُّمَّ قَالَ «مَا حَمَلَكِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ؟» قَالَتْ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُكَ تَذْكُرُ فَإِنْ كُنْتَ نَبِيًّا عَلِمْتُ أَنَّهَا لَا تَضُرُّكَ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أُرِيحَ النَّاسَ مِنْكَ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَصُلِبَتْ
[Machine] Urwa reported: "Regarding the naming of the one who witnessed the Battle of Badr from the Ansar, then from the tribe of Banu Zuhrā ibn ‘Abd al-Ashhal: Muhammad ibn Muslimah ibn Khalid ibn ‘Adi ibn Majda‘ah ibn Harithah ibn al-Harith."
عَنْ عُرْوَةَ «فِي تَسْمِيَةِ مَنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي زَعُورَاءَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ مَجْدَعَةَ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ»
[Machine] About Ibn Shihab, "In the naming of those who witnessed the Battle of Badr from the Ansar, then from the Aws tribe of Banu Haritha, Muhammad ibn Muslima."
عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ «فِي تَسْمِيَةِ مَنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ثُمَّ مِنَ الْأَوْسِ مِنْ بَنِي حَارِثَةَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ»
[Machine] About Muhammad ibn Ishaq, in regard to the naming of those who witnessed Badr from the Ansar, then from the Banu Harithah, Muhammad ibn Muslimah ibn Khalid ibn Adiy ibn Majdah ibn Harithah ibn al-Harith ibn al-Khazraj ibn Amr ibn Malik ibn al-Aws, and he was an ally of the Banu Abdul Ashhal.
عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ «فِي تَسْمِيَةِ مَنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ثُمَّ مِنْ بَنِي حَارِثَةَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ مَجْدَعَةَ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْأَوْسِ وَكَانَ حَلِيفًا لِبَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ»
[Machine] Muhammad ibn Muslimah passed away in Medina in the year forty-three, at the age of seventy-seven years.
«تُوُفِّيَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ وَسِنُّهُ سَبْعٌ وَسَبْعُونَ سَنَةً»
