Qais bin Saʿd was to the Prophet ﷺ like a chief police officer to an Amir (chief).
"Qais bin Sa'd used to be, to the Prophet ﷺ, in the position of the head of police for a ruler." (One of the narrators) Al-Ansari said: "That is: Due to his affairs that he takes charge of."

[Machine] The position of Qais bin Saad with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was similar to the position of a police officer with a prince.
