Once the Prophet ﷺ brought out Al-Hasan and took him up the pulpit along with him and said, "This son of mine is a Saiyid (i.e. chief) and I hope that Allah will help him bring about reconciliation between two Muslim groups."
"I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the Minbar, and Al-Hasan was with him. He would turn to the people sometimes and turn to him (Al-Hasan) sometimes, and he said: 'This son of mine is a leader (Sayyid) and Allah may make peace between two large groups of Muslims through him.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1410)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to al-Hasan ibn Ali. This son of mine is a Sayyid (chief), and I hope Allah may reconcile two parties of my community by means of him. Hammad's version has: And perhaps Allah may reconcile two large parties of Muslims by means of him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4662)
[Machine] While the Prophet ﷺ was delivering a sermon, Hassan ibn Ali approached him and the Prophet ﷺ embraced him and said, "Indeed, my son here is a master and perhaps Allah (God) will bring about reconciliation through him between two factions of the Muslims."
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah, blessings be upon him, on the pulpit and Al-Hasan ibn Ali was by his side, looking at the Messenger of Allah, blessings be upon him, with a glance. The Messenger of Allah, blessings be upon him, looked at him with a glance and said, "Verily, my son here is a master, and perhaps Allah will reconcile through him between two groups of Muslims."
[Machine] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ embracing Al-Hasan and saying, "Indeed, my son is a leader, and perhaps Allah will reconcile through him between two groups of Muslims."
[Machine] I heard Abu Bakr say, "I saw the Prophet ﷺ on the pulpit and with him was Al-Hasan bin Ali, and he looked at him once and at the people once, and he said, 'Indeed, my son here is a master and perhaps Allah will make peace between two groups of Muslims through him.'"
