AbdurRahman ibn AbuLayla, quoting Usayd ibn Hudayr, a man of the Ansar, said that while he was given to jesting and was talking to the people and making them laugh, the Prophet ﷺ poked him under the ribs with a stick. He said: Let me take retaliation. He said: Take retaliation. He said: You are wearing a shirt but I am not. The Prophet ﷺ then raised his shirt and the man embraced him and began to kiss his side. Then he said: This is what I wanted, Messenger of Allah!

بَيْنَمَا هُوَ يُحَدِّثُ الْقَوْمَ وَكَانَ فِيهِ مِزَاحٌ بَيْنَا يُضْحِكُهُمْ فَطَعَنَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي خَاصِرَتِهِ بِعُودٍ فَقَالَ أَصْبِرْنِي فَقَالَ اصْطَبِرْ قَالَ إِنَّ عَلَيْكَ قَمِيصًا وَلَيْسَ عَلَىَّ قَمِيصٌ فَرَفَعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ قَمِيصِهِ فَاحْتَضَنَهُ وَجَعَلَ يُقَبِّلُ كَشْحَهُ قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَرَدْتُ هَذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ

[Machine] While he was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, talking to the people and making them laugh, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stabbed him in the side with his finger. He said, "You hurt me!" The man said, "Take revenge." He said, "O Messenger of Allah, you have a shirt on, but I do not have a shirt." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ lifted his shirt and hugged him, then he began to kiss his chest and said, "By my father and mother, O Messenger of Allah, I wanted this."

فَبَيْنَمَا هُوَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يُحَدِّثُ الْقَوْمَ وَيُضْحِكُهُمْ فَطَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِأُصْبُعِهِ فِي خَاصِرَتِهِ فَقَالَ أَوْجَعْتَنِي قَالَ اقْتَصَّ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ عَلَيْكَ قَمِيصًا وَلَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَيَّ قَمِيصٌ قَالَ فَرَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَمِيصَهُ فَاحْتَضَنَهُ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ يُقَبِّلُ كَشْحَهُ فَقَالَ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَرَدْتُ هَذَا

"كَانَ أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ رَجُلًا ضَاحِكًا مَلِحًا، فَبَيْنَمَا هُوَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ يُحَدِّثُ الْقَوْمَ وَيُضْحِكُهُمْ، فَطَعَنَهُ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ بِأُصْبُعَيْهِ في خَاصِرَتِهِ، فَقَالَ: أَوْجَعْتَنِى، قَالَ: اقْتَصَّ، قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ الله إِنَّ عَلَيْكَ قَمِيصٌ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَىَّ قَمِيصٌ، فَرَفَعَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ قَمِيصَهُ، فَاحْتَضَنَهُ ثُمَّ جَعَل يُقبِّلُ كشْحَهُ، فَقَالَ: بِأَبِى أَنْتَ وَأُمَى يَا رَسُولَ الله، أَرَدْتُ هَذَا".
