I was in the company of Messenger of Allah ﷺ when there came a man and informed him that he had contracted to marry a woman of the Ansar. Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Did you cast a glance at her? He said: No. He said: Go and cast a glance at her, for there is something in the eyes of the Ansar.

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَظَرْتَ إِلَيْهَا قَالَ لاَ قَالَ فَاذْهَبْ فَانْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّ فِي أَعْيُنِ الأَنْصَارِ شَيْئًا

"A man of the Ansar came to the Messenger of Allah and said: 'I have married a woman.' He said: 'Did you look at her? For there is something in the eyes of the Ansar.'"

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنِّي تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَلاَ نَظَرْتَ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّ فِي أَعْيُنِ الأَنْصَارِ شَيْئًا قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَجَدْتُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِي مَوْضِعٍ آخَرَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَ وَالصَّوَابُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ

"Look at her, for there is something in the eyes of the Ansar."

النَّبِيُّ ﷺ انْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّ فِي أَعْيُنِ الأَنْصَارِ شَيْئًا

"Look at her, for there is something in the eyes of the Ansar." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3247)

يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ انْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّ فِي أَعْيُنِ الْأَنْصَارِ شَيْئًا

[AI] A man proposed to a woman, who was from the Ansar, so the Prophet ﷺ said: Look at her, for there is something in the eyes of the Ansar.

خَطَبَ رَجُلٌ امْرَأَةً يَعْنِي مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ انْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّ فِي أَعْيُنِ الْأَنْصَارِ شَيْئًا

"Look at her, for there is something in the eyes of the Ansar." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3247)

لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «انْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّ فِي أَعْيُنِ الْأَنْصَارِ شَيْئًا» يَعْنِي صَغَرًا

[AI] A man came to the Prophet (PBUH) and mentioned a woman from the Ansar whom he wanted to marry. The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Look at her, for indeed the Ansar have something in their eyes."

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ لَهُ نِكَاحَ امْرَأَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ «انْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّ فِي أَعْيُنِ الْأَنْصَارِ شَيْئًا»

"Look at her, for there is something in the eyes of the Ansar." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3247)

لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «انْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّ فِي أَعْيُنِ نِسَاءِ الْأَنْصَارِ شَيْئًا»

[AI] A man from the Ansar came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "I have married a woman." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Did you not look at her? Verily, there is something in the eyes of the Ansar." Ali ibn Hashim ibn Al-Barid disagreed with him.

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنِّي تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَلَا نَظَرْتَ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّ فِي أَعْيُنِ الْأَنْصَارِ شَيْئًا» خَالَفَهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمِ بْنِ الْبَرِيدِ

[AI] "O Messenger of Allah, I have married from the Ansar." He said, "Did you not look at her, for indeed there is something in the eyes of the Ansar."

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي تَزَوَّجْتُ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالَ «أَلَا نَظَرْتَ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّ فِي أَعْيُنِ الْأَنْصَارِ شَيْئًا»
