Once I passed the night in the house of my aunt Maimuna. The Prophet ﷺ stood for the night prayer and I joined him and stood on his left side but he drew me to his right by holding me by the head.

بِتُّ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقُمْتُ أُصَلِّي مَعَهُ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَأَخَذَ بِرَأْسِي فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ

Once I stayed overnight in the house of my aunt Maimuna bint Al-Harith and Messenger of Allah ﷺ was with her as it was her turn. Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up to offer the night prayer. I stood on his left but he took hold of my two locks of hair and made me stand on his right. Narrated Abu Bishr: (the above Hadith) but he quoted: Ibn ʿAbbas said, (took hold of) my two braids on my head."

بِتُّ لَيْلَةً عِنْدَ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ خَالَتِي وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عِنْدَهَا فِي لَيْلَتِهَا قَالَ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ قَالَ فَأَخَذَ بِذُؤَابَتِي فَجَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ

"I stayed overnight with my maternal aunt Maimunah, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up to pray at night. I stood on his left, so he did this to me: He took me by the head and made me stand on his right."

بِتُّ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ فَقَالَ بِي هَكَذَا فَأَخَذَ بِرَأْسِي فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ

"I prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺand I stood on his left. He took hold of me with his left hand and made me stand on his right."

صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَأَخَذَنِي بِيَدِهِ الْيُسْرَى فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ

“I stayed overnight with my maternal aunt Maimunah, and the Prophet ﷺ got up during the night to perform prayer. So I got up and stood on his left. He took me by the hand and made me stand on his right.”

بِتُّ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ

[AI] I spent a night at my aunt Ma'imuna bint Al-Harith's house, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was at her place that night. He got up to perform the night prayer, so I stood to pray behind him. He then took hold of a bedsheet that was either mine or placed on my head, until he made me stand to his right.

بِتُّ لَيْلَةً عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عِنْدَهَا فِي لَيْلَتِهَا فَقَامَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ لِأُصَلِّيَ بِصَلاتِهِ قَالَ فَأَخَذَ بِذُؤَابَةٍ كَانَتْ لِي أَوْ بِرَأْسِي حَتَّى جَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ

"I stayed overnight with my maternal aunt Maimunah, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up to pray at night. I stood on his left, so he did this to me: He took me by the head and made me stand on his right." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 806)

بِتُّ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقُمْتُ أُصَلِّي مَعَهُ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ فَقَالَ لِي هَكَذَا فَأَخَذَ بِرَأْسِي فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ

“I stayed overnight with my maternal aunt Maimunah, and the Prophet ﷺ got up during the night to perform prayer. So I got up and stood on his left. He took me by the hand and made me stand on his right.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 973)

ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ «بِتُّ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فَقُمْتُ أُصَلِّي فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَأَخَذَ بِرَأْسِي فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ»

[AI] I was at my aunt's house, Maymuna, when the Prophet ﷺ woke up at night. He performed ablution and I stood on his left side, so he turned me with his hands and made me stand on his right side.

كُنْتُ فِي بَيْتِ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ «فَتَوَضَّأَ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ فَأَدَارَنِي بِيَدَيْهِ فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ»

[AI] I spend the night at my aunt Maymuna's house. During the night, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ got up to pray, so I stood up on his left. He took hold of my shoulder or my hair and made me stand on his right.

بِتُّ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ وَكَانَتْ لَيْلَتُهَا فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَأَخَذَ بِذُؤَابَتِي أَوْ بِشَعْرِي فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ

[AI] I stayed at my aunt Maymuna's house, then the Prophet ﷺ stood up to pray at night, so I got up from his left side, then he took my hand and made me stand on his right side, and he stroked my chest and said, "O Allah, grant him wisdom."

بِتُّ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَمَسَحَ صَدْرِي وَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ آتِهِ الْحِكْمَةَ»

[AI] I was at my aunt Maymuna's house when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up at night and performed ablution three times. Then he stood up to pray, so I also stood up and did what he did. Then I moved away from his left side, leaving room for him on his right side.

بِتُّ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ «فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَتَوَضَّأَ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ قَامَ يُصَلِّي فَقُمْتُ فَصَنَعْتُ الَّذِي صَنَعَ ثُمَّ قُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَهَيَّأَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ»

[AI] I stood up one night to pray with the Prophet ﷺ. I stood to his left and he gestured with his hand from behind him. He took my hand or arm and made me stand to his right.

قُمْتُ لَيْلَةً أُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي أَوْ بِعَضُدِي حَتَّى أَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ

"I stayed overnight with my maternal aunt Maimunah, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ got up to pray at night. I stood on his left, so he did this to me: He took me by the head and made me stand on his right." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 806)

«كُنْتُ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ فَقَالَ بِي هَكَذَا فَأَخَذَ بِرَأْسِي فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ»

"I prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺand I stood on his left. He took hold of me with his left hand and made me stand on his right." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 842)

«صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَيْلَةً فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ فَأَخَذَنِي بِيَدِهِ الْيُسْرَى حَتَّى أَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ»

[AI] Then the Prophet ﷺ stood up to pray at night. He said, "So I stood to his left to pray with him." He said, "Then he took hold of my shoulder or my head and made me stand to his right."

فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ قَالَ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أُصَلِّي بِصَلَاتِهِ قَالَ فَأَخَذَ بِذُؤَابٍ كَانَ لِي أَوْ بِرَأْسِي فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ
