"مَنْ كَانَ يُؤمِنُ بالله وَالْيَوْمِ الآخرِ، فَلا يَسْقِ مَاءَهُ زَرع غَيرِهِ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فلا يأت ثيِّبًا مِنَ السَّبْي حَتَّى يَسْتبْرئها، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمنُ بِالله وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ، فلا يَبيعَنَّ مَغْنمًا حَتَّى يُقْسَمَ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ باللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخرِ فلا يَرْكَبَنَّ دَابَّةً مِنْ فيئِ الْمُسْلِمَينَ حَتَّى إِذا أَعْجفها ردَّهَا فِيهِ، وَمنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخر فلا يَلْبس ثوْبًا منْ فيئِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى إذا أَخْلقهُ رَدَّهُ فيهِ".

This version has the traditional word “a menstrual course” in the phrase “till she is free from a menstrual course”. This is a misunderstanding on the part of the narrator Abu Mu’awiyah. This is correct in the tradition of Abu Sa’id Al Khudri. This version has the additional words “he who believes in Allaah and the Last Day should not ride on a mount belonging to the spoil of Muslims and when he makes it emaciated returns it; he who believes in Allaah and the Last Day should not put on cloth belonging to the spoils of Muslims and when makes it old (shabby) returns it. Abu Dawud said “The word “menstrual course” is not guarded. This is a misunderstanding on the part of Abu Mu’awiyah”
حَتَّى يَسْتَبْرِئَهَا بِحَيْضَةٍ زَادَ فِيهِ { بِحَيْضَةٍ وَهُوَ وَهَمٌ مِنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ وَهُوَ صَحِيحٌ فِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ زَادَ } وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَلاَ يَرْكَبْ دَابَّةً مِنْ فَىْءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى إِذَا أَعْجَفَهَا رَدَّهَا فِيهِ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَلاَ يَلْبَسْ ثَوْبًا مِنْ فَىْءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى إِذَا أَخْلَقَهُ رَدَّهُ فِيهِ
[AI] Indeed, I will not enforce upon you anything except what I have heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he addressed us on the day of the Battle of Khaybar. He said, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not ride any animal used by Muslims until he has commented upon it, or he said: until it has been tamed." Abu Muhammad said, "I doubt that this could be interpreted as it is." And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not wear a garment taken from the spoils of war until he has purified it.
إِنِّي لَا أَقُومُ فِيكُمْ إِلَّا مَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَامَ فِينَا يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ حِينَ افْتَتَحْنَاهَا مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يَرْكَبَنَّ دَابَّةً مِنْ فَيْءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى إِذَا أَجْحَفَهَا أَوْ قَالَ أَعْجَفَهَا قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد أَنَا أَشُكُّ فِيهِ رَدَّهَا وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يَلْبَسْ ثَوْبًا مِنْ فَيْءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى إِذَا أَخْلَقَهُ رَدَّهُ فِيهِ
[AI] On the authority of Abu Marzūq, the freed slave of Tujībah, who said: Ruwaif ibn Thābit al-Ansāri reported, "I was with the Prophet ﷺ when he conquered Hunayn. He stood among us as a preacher and said, 'It is not permissible for a person who believes in Allah and the Last Day to water his own crops from the water of others, nor is it permissible for him to buy spoils of war until they are distributed, nor is it permissible for him to wear clothing taken as spoils of war from Muslims until he mends it, nor should he ride a riding animal taken as spoils of war from Muslims until he removes it from it.'"
عَنْ أَبِي مَرْزُوقٍ مَوْلَى تُجِيبَ وَتُجِيبُ بَطْنٌ مِنْ كِنْدَةَ عَنْ رُوَيْفِعِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حِينَ افْتَتَحَ حُنَيْنًا فَقَامَ فِينَا خَطِيبًا فَقَالَ لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرِئٍ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ يَسْقِيَ مَاءَهُ زَرْعَ غَيْرِهِ وَلَا أَنْ يَبْتَاعَ مَغْنَمًا حَتَّى يُقْسَمَ وَلَا أَنْ يَلْبَسَ ثَوْبًا مِنْ فَيْءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى إِذَا أَخْلَقَهُ رَدَّهُ فِيهِ وَلَا يَرْكَبَ دَابَّةً مِنْ فَيْءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى إِذَا أَعْجَفَهَا رَدَّهَا فِيهِ
[AI] "O people, I only say to you what I have heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said: 'He stood among us on the day of Hunayn and said, 'It is not permissible for a person who believes in Allah and the Last Day to water his crops with water intended for someone else, meaning by bringing water from the wells of captives. And it is not permissible for a person who has acquired a chaste woman from among the captives to have sexual relations with her until he has purified her, meaning by marrying her. And it is not permissible for a person to sell the spoils of war until they have been divided. And it is not permissible for a person to ride a mount belonging to the Muslims until he has ridden it and then returned it. And it is not permissible for a person to wear a garment belonging to the Muslims until he has worn it and then returned it.'"
أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي لَا أَقُولُ فِيكُمْ إِلَّا مَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ قَامَ فِينَا يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ فَقَالَ لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرِئٍ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ يَسْقِيَ مَاءَهُ زَرْعَ غَيْرِهِ يَعْنِي إِتْيَانَ الْحَبَالَى مِنَ السَّبَايَا وَأَنْ يُصِيبَ امْرَأَةً ثَيِّبًا مِنَ السَّبْيِ حَتَّى يَسْتَبْرِئَهَا يَعْنِي إِذَا اشْتَرَاهَا وَأَنْ يَبِيعَ مَغْنَمًا حَتَّى يُقْسَمَ وَأَنْ يَرْكَبَ دَابَّةً مِنْ فَيْءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى إِذَا أَعْجَفَهَا رَدَّهَا فِيهِ وَأَنْ يَلْبَسَ ثَوْبًا مِنْ فَيْءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى إِذَا أَخْلَقَهُ رَدَّهُ فِيهِ

[AI] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, he said about the year of Khaybar, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not give his water to someone else, nor should he ride on an animal from the spoils of war until he tames it and then returns it as spoils, and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not wear a garment made from the spoils of war until he puts it on and then returns it as spoils."

[AI] It is said that Jabrah stood up and Ruwaif took the position of a speaker among us and said, "I only stand before you to convey what I heard from the Messenger of Allah. He stood among us on the day of Hunayn when we had just won the battle. He said, 'Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should not let his water container be used by anyone else, and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should not take any garment from the spoils of war until it is distributed. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should not sell any spoils of war until it is divided. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should not ride a horse or camel that belongs to the Muslims until it is tamed. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, he should not wear a garment that belongs to the Muslims until he earns it."
يُقَالُ لَهَا جَرْبَةُ فَقَامَ فِينَا رُوَيْفِعٌ خَطِيبًا فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَا أَقُومُ فِيكُمْ إِلَّا مَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ قَامَ فِينَا يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ حِينَ افْتَتَحْنَاهَا فَقَالَ «مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يُسْقِ مَاءَهُ زَرْعَ غَيْرِهِ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يَأْتِ ثَيِّبًا مِنَ السَّبْيِ حَتَّى يَسْتَبْرِئَهَا وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يَبِيعَنَّ مَغْنَمًا حَتَّى يُقْسَمَ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يَرْكَبَنَّ دَابَّةً مِنْ فَيْءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى إِذَا أَعْجَفَهَا رَدَّهَا فِيهِ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلَا يَلْبَسُ ثَوْبًا مِنْ فَيْءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى إِذَا أَخْلَقَهُ رَدَّهُ فِيهِ»
[AI] We have the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Hunayn, where he said, "It is not permissible for a person who believes in Allah and the Last Day to sell spoils of war until they are divided and it is not permissible for a person who believes in Allah and the Last Day to ride a mount taken as a share from the Muslims until he tames it and it is not permissible for him to wear a garment until he finishes making it."
لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ قَالَ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرِئٍ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أنْ يَبِيعَ مَغْنَمًا حَتَّى يُقْسَمَ وَلَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرئٍ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ يَرْكَبَ دَابَّةً مِنْ فَيْءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى إِذَا أَعْجَفَهَا رَدَّهَا وَلَا يَلْبَسُ ثَوْبًا حَتَّى إِذَا أخَلَقَهُ رَدَّهُ فِيهِ»
