"قَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ وَلأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ يَومَانِ يَلْعَبونَ فِيهِمَا في الْجَاهِلية، وَإنَّ الله قَدْ أبْدَلَكُمْ بِهما خَيرًا منُهمَا: يَوْمَ الْفطرِ وَيَوْمَ النَّحْرِ".

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah has substituted for them something better than them, the day of sacrifice and the day of the breaking of the fast.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I came to Medina and the people of Medina used to have two days on which they would play during the pre-Islamic period. So, I came to you and you have two days on which you play. Surely, Allah ﷻ has replaced these two days with better ones, the day of Eid al-Fitr and the day of Eid al-Adha."

[Machine] Anas ibn Malik said, "The Prophet ﷺ arrived in Madinah and the people of Madinah had two days in which they used to play and indulge in the customs of the pre-Islamic period. So, the Prophet ﷺ said, 'I have come to you and you have two days in which you used to play and indulge in the customs of the pre-Islamic period. Allah has replaced them with two better days: the day of sacrifice and the day of breaking the fast.'" This is the wording of Al-Fazari's narration.
