"رَحِمَةُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى مُوسَى، لَوْ صَبَر لَرَأَى مِنْ صَاحِبِهِ الْعَجَبَ، وَلكنَّهُ قَالَ: إِنْ سَألْتُكَ عَنْ شَئٍ بَعْدَهَا فَلَا تُصَاحِبْنِى قَدْ بَلَغْت مِن لَدُنِّى عُذْرًا".
Moses said, ‘From now on, if I query anything you do, banish me from your company- you have put up with enough from me.’
قَالَ إِن سَأَلْتُكَ عَن شَيْءِۭ بَعْدَهَا فَلَا تُصَٰحِبْنِيۖ قَدْ بَلَغْتَ مِن لَّدُنِّي عُذْرࣰا
: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed, he began with himself and said: May the mercy of Allah be upon us and upon Moses. If he had patience, he would have seen marvels from his Companion. But he said: "(Moses) said: If ever I ask thee about anything after this, keep me not in they company: then wouldst thou have received (full) excuse from my side". Hamzah lengthened it.
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا دَعَا بَدَأَ بِنَفْسِهِ وَقَالَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى مُوسَى لَوْ صَبَرَ لَرَأَى مِنْ صَاحِبِهِ الْعَجَبَ وَلَكِنَّهُ قَالَ { إِنْ سَأَلْتُكَ عَنْ شَىْءٍ بَعْدَهَا فَلاَ تُصَاحِبْنِي قَدْ بَلَغْتَ مِنْ لَدُنِي } طَوَّلَهَا حَمْزَةُ
[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited: 'If I ask you about anything afterward, do not keep me as a companion. You will have received from me an excuse.'" (Surah Al-Kahf, verse 76)
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَرَأَ {إِنْ سَأَلْتُكَ عَنْ شَيْءٍ بَعْدَهَا فَلَا تُصَاحِبْنِي قَدْ بَلَغْتَ مِنْ لَدُنِّي عُذْرًا} [الكهف 76]
[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to start his supplication for someone by mentioning himself. One day, he mentioned the story of Moses and said, "May Allah's mercy be upon us and upon Moses. If only he had been patient, Allah Almighty would have informed us of his news. However, he said, 'If I ask you about anything after this, do not accompany me. You have received from me an excuse'" [Quran, 18:76].
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا دَعَا لِأَحَدٍبَدَأَ بِنَفْسِهِ فَذَكَرَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ مُوسَى فَقَالَ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى مُوسَى لَوْ كَانَ صَبَرَ لَقَصَّ اللهُ تَعَالَى عَلَيْنَا مِنْ خَبَرِهِ وَلَكِنْ قَالَ {إِنْ سَأَلْتُكَ عَنْ شَيْءٍ بَعْدَهَا فَلَا تُصَاحِبْنِي قَدْ بَلَغْتَ مِنْ لَدُنِّي عُذْرًا} [الكهف 76]

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "If I ask you about something after this, then do not accompany me. I asked you a question from Hamez, and you have reached me an excuse from (the Divine) presence."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «{إِنْ سَأَلْتُكَ عَنْ شَيْءٍ بَعْدَهَا فَلَا تُصَاحِبْنِي} سَأَلْتُكَ هَمَزَ {قَدْ بَلَغْتَ مِنْ لَدُنِّي عُذْرًا} »
[AI] The Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ , used to invoke blessings upon someone he mentioned by starting with himself and saying, "May the mercy of Allah be upon us and upon Moses. If he had stayed with his companion, he would have witnessed something amazing, but he said, 'If I ask you about anything after it, do not keep me as a companion. You have obtained an excuse from me.'" [Surah Al-Kahf 76]

"عَنْ أُبِىٍّ كَانَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ إِذَا دَعَا لأَحَدٍ بَدَأَ بنَفْسه فَذَكَرَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ مُوسَى فَقَالَ: رَحْمَة الله عَلَيْنَا وَعَلى مُوسَى لَوْ صَبَرَ لَرَأَى مِنْ صَاحِبِهِ الْعَجَبَ العَاجِبَ، وَلَكِنَّهُ قَالَ: إِنْ سَأَلْتُكَ عَنْ شَىْءٍ بَعْدَهَا فَلاَ تُصَاحِبْنِى قَدْ بَلَغْتَ مِنْ لَدُنِّى عُذْرًا وَطَوَّلهَا".
