nasai-kubra:5628Azhar b. Jamīl al-Baṣrī

"O Messenger of Allah, I do not find any fault with Thabit bin Qais regarding his attitude or religious commitment, but I hate Kufr after becoming Muslim." The Messenger of Allah said: "Will you give him back his garden?" She said: "Yes." The Messenger of Allah said: "Take back the garden and divorce her once." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3463)  

الكبرى للنسائي:٥٦٢٨أَخْبَرَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ هُوَ الثَّقَفِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمِجيدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ هُوَ الْحَذَّاءُ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ امْرَأَةَ ثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ثَابِتُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ أَمَا إِنِّي مَا أَعْتِبُ عَلَيْهِ فِي خُلُقٍ وَلَا دِينٍ وَلَكِنِّي أَكْرَهُ الْكُفْرَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَتَرُدِّينَ عَلَيْهِ حَدِيقَتَهُ؟» قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اقْبَلِ الْحَدِيقَةَ وَطَلِّقْهَا تَطْلِيقَةً»

The wife of Thabit bin Qais came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! I do not blame Thabit for defects in his character or his religion, but I, being a Muslim, dislike to behave in un-Islamic manner (if I remain with him)." On that Messenger of Allah ﷺ said (to her), "Will you give back the garden which your husband has given you (as Mahr)?" She said, "Yes." Then the Prophet ﷺ said to Thabit, "O Thabit! Accept your garden, and divorce her once."

Jamilah bint Salul came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: "By Allah, I do not find any fault with Thabit regarding his religion nor his behavior, but I hate disbelief after becoming Muslim and I cannot stand him. "The Prophet ﷺ said to her: 'WiIl you give him back his garden?" She said: "Yes." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ told him to take back his garden from her and no more than that.

أَنَّ جَمِيلَةَ بِنْتَ سَلُولَ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَعْتِبُ عَلَى ثَابِتٍ فِي دِينٍ وَلاَ خُلُقٍ وَلَكِنِّي أَكْرَهُ الْكُفْرَ فِي الإِسْلاَمِ لاَ أُطِيقُهُ بُغْضًا فَقَالَ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَتَرُدِّينَ عَلَيْهِ حَدِيقَتَهُ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ مِنْهَا حَدِيقَتَهُ وَلاَ يَزْدَادَ

[Machine] A woman named Thabit came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "By Allah, I do not find any fault in him in terms of his character or religion, but I dislike disbelief after accepting Islam." He asked her, "Would you return his garden?" She said, "Yes." He said, "O Thabit, accept the garden and grant him freedom by divorcing him once."  

الطبراني:١١٩٦٩حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ
