ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ قَوْلَهُ ﷺ «دَعْهَا عَنْكَ»، إِنَّمَا هُوَ نَهْيٌ نَهَاهُ عَنِ الْكَوْنِ مَعَهَا

That he had married Um Yahya bint Abu Ihab. He said. "A black slave-lady came and said, 'I suckled you both.' I then mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ who turned his face aside." ʿUqba further said, "I went to the other side and told the Prophet ﷺ about it. He said, 'How can you (keep her as your wife) when the lady has said that she suckled both of you (i.e. you and your wife?)" So, the Prophet ﷺ ordered him to divorce her.  

أَنَّهُ تَزَوَّجَ أُمَّ يَحْيَى بِنْتَ أَبِي إِهَابٍ قَالَ فَجَاءَتْ أَمَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ فَقَالَتْ قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُكُمَا فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنِّي قَالَ فَتَنَحَّيْتُ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ قَالَ وَكَيْفَ وَقَدْ زَعَمَتْ أَنْ قَدْ أَرْضَعَتْكُمَا فَنَهَاهُ عَنْهَا  

That he had married Um Yahya bint Abu Ihab. He said. "A black slave-lady came and said, 'I suckled you both.' I then mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ who turned his face aside." ʿUqba further said, "I went to the other side and told the Prophet ﷺ about it. He said, 'How can you (keep her as your wife) when the lady has said that she suckled both of you (i.e. you and your wife?)" So, the Prophet ﷺ ordered him to divorce her. أَنَّهُ تَزَوَّجَ أُمَّ يَحْيَى ابْنَةَ أَبِي إِهَابٍ فَجَاءَتْ أَمَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ فَقَالَتْ قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُكُمَا فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنِّي فَتَنَحَّيْتُ فَذَكَرْتُهُ لَهُ فَقَالَ فَكَيْفَ وَقَدْ زَعَمَتْ أَنْ قَدْ أَرْضَعَتْكُمَا فَنَهَاهُ عَنْهَا  

[Machine] He informed him or heard from him, if he did not disclose to him that he married the daughter of Abu Ihab, so a black slave woman said, "I have breastfed both of you." So I went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him, but he turned away from me. So I went to him again and mentioned it to him, and he said, "How could that be when she claimed that she breastfed both of you?" So he forbade me from her.  

أَخْبَرَهُ أَوْ سَمِعَهُ مِنْهُ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ خَصَّهُ بِهِ أَنَّهُ نَكَحَ ابْنَةَ أَبِي إِهَابٍ فَقَالَتْ أَمَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُكُمَا فَجِئْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنِّي فَجِئْتُ فَذَكَرْتُ لَهُ فَقَالَ فَكَيْفَ وَقَدْ زَعَمَتْ أَنْ قَدْ أَرْضَعَتْكُمَا فَنَهَاهُ عَنْهَا  

[Machine] He informed him or heard it from him, if he did not mention to him or inform him that he married Umm Yahya, the daughter of Abi Ihab. So, a black slave woman said to him, "I breastfed both of you." He said, "So, I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned it to him, but he turned away. I went to him a second time and mentioned it to him, and he said, 'How is that when she claimed that she breastfed both of you? He forbade it.'"  

أَخْبَرَهُ أَو سَمِعَهُ مِنْهُ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ خَصَّهُ أَنَّهُ نَكَحَ أُمَّ يَحْيَى بِنْتَ أَبِي إِهَابٍ فَقَالَتْ لَهُ أَمَةٌ سَوْدَاءٌ قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُكُمَا قَالَ فَجِئْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرْتُ لَهُ فَأَعْرَضَ فَجِئْتُ إِلَيْهِ الثَّانِيَةَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ «وَكَيْفَ وَقَدْ زَعَمَتْ أَنَّهَا قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُكُمَا فَنَهَاهُ»  

[Machine] He married Umm Yahya, the daughter of Abi Ihab, and a black slave girl came and said, "I have breastfed both of you." He then went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him about it. The Prophet ﷺ turned away from him. He mentioned it to him again, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "How can she claim that she breastfed both of you? She is prohibited from doing so."  

أَنَّهُ تَزَوَّجَ أُمَّ يَحْيَى بِنْتَ أَبِي إِهَابٍ فَجَاءَتْ أَمَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ فَقَالَتْ قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُكُمَا قَالَ فَجِئْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنِّي فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ «وَكَيْفَ وَقَدْ زَعَمَتْ أَنَّهَا قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُكُمَا فَنَهَاهُ عَنْهَا»  

[Machine] He married a woman and a black slave girl came and claimed that she breastfed both of them. I mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ and he turned away from it. Then he mentioned the second woman and said, "She is a liar." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled and said, "But how can it be when it has been said?"  

أَنَّهُ نَكَحَ امْرَأَةً فَجَاءَتْ أَمَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ فَزَعَمَتْ أَنَّهَا أَرْضَعَتْهُمَا فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الثَّانِيَةَ وَقَالَ «إِنَّهَا كَاذِبَةٌ» وَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ «فَكَيْفَ وَقَدْ قِيلَ»  

" عَنْ عُقْبَة بن الْحَارِث تزوجت ابْنَةَ أَبِى إهَاب، فَجَاءَت أمَةٌ سَوداءُ فَقَالَتْ: قَد أَرْضَعْتكُمَا فأَتَيْتُ النَّبىَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَقلْتُ إِنَّهَا كَاذِبَة، فَأَعْرضَ عَنِّى، ثُمَّ تَحوَّلْتُ من الْجَانِبِ الآخَر فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ الله إِنَّهَا كَاذِبَة، قال فَكَيْفَ تَصْنَع بِقَوْلِ هَذِه دَعْهَا عَنْكَ".
