[Machine] The people reached a difficult pass or narrow valley. Whenever a man ascended it, he would say, "There is no deity except Allah and Allah is the Greatest," while the Prophet ﷺ would be riding a she-ass and raising it on the mountain. He then said, "O people! You are not calling upon a deaf or absent (deity). Then he said, "O Abu Musa or Abdullah ibn Qais! Shall I not inform you of a treasure from the treasures of Paradise? He said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "There is no power or might except with Allah."

And if he draws to Me a hand-span length, I draw near to him a forearm's length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him in a hurry." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3822)

What makes you sit here? They said: We are sitting here in order to remember Allah. He said: I adjure you by Allah (to tell me whether you are sitting here for this very purpose)? They said: By Allah, we are sitting here for this very purpose. Thereupon, he said: I have not demanded you to take an oath, because of any allegation against you and none of my rank in the eye of Messenger of Allah ﷺ is the narrator of so few ahadith as I am. The fact is that Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to the circle of his Companions and said: What makes you sit? They said: We are sitting here in order to remember Allah and to praise Him for He guided us to the path of Islam and He conferred favours upon us. Thereupon he adjured by Allah and asked if that only was the purpose of their sitting there. They said: By Allah, we are not sitting here but for this very purpose, whereupon he (the Messenger) said: I am not asking you to take an oath because of any allegation against you but for the fact that Gabriel came to me and he informed me that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, was talking to the angels about your magnificence. (Using translation from Muslim 2701)

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "How will I be content while the one with the trumpet has placed it to his mouth and lowered his forehead, waiting for the command to blow?" We said, "O Messenger of Allah, what should we say on that day?" He said, "Say, 'Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.'"
[Machine] We used to walk with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and we passed by two graves. He stood up and we stood up with him, and his face changed color until his shirt was moistened. We said, "What is the matter, O Prophet of Allah?" He said, "Do you not hear what I hear?" We said, "What is that, O Prophet of Allah?" He said, "These two men are being punished in their graves with a severe punishment for a minor sin." We said, "What did they do, O Prophet of Allah?" He said, "One of them used not to protect himself from urine and the other used to harm people with his tongue and spread gossip among them." Then he called for two fresh palm tree leaves and placed one on each grave. We said, "Will that benefit them, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Yes, it will lighten their punishment as long as they remain moist."

Is one amongst you powerless to get one thousand virtues every day. Amongst those who had been sitting there, one asked: How one amongst us can get one thousand virtues every day? He said: Recite:" Hallowed be Allah" one hundred times for (by reciting them) one thousand virtues are recorded (to your credit) and one tbousand vices are blotted out. Subhan Allah the weight of His throne three times. Subhan Allah the satisfaction of His self three times. Subhan Allah the ink of His words three times.

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by him while he was moving his lips, so he said, "What are you saying, O Abu Umamah?"
He said, "I remember my Lord."
He said, "Shall I not inform you of something greater and better than your remembrance of Him day and night? That is to say, 'Glorified is Allah in number as much as He has created, and glorified is Allah in fullness as much as He has created, and glorified is Allah in number as much as is in the earth and the heaven, and glorified is Allah in fullness as much as is in the earth and the heaven, and glorified is Allah in number as much as His Book has counted, and glorified is Allah in number as much as everything, and glorified is Allah in fullness as much as everything, and you say, 'Praise be to Allah' like that.'"

He said, "I have said four phrases, if these were weighed against what is on the earth, they would outweigh them: Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi, 'adada khalqihi, wa ridha nafsihi, wa zinata 'arshihi" which means "Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him, as many times as the number of His creation, and as pleasing to Himself, and as the weight of His Throne."

[Machine] Abu Salama, the companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , narrated to me. I met him in the mosque of Al-Kufa, and he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Light, light,' and he gestured with his hand five times, as if indicating something lighter than them in the scale: Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah), Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah), La ilaha illa Allah (There is no deity but Allah), Allah Akbar (Allah is the Greatest), and the righteous child is taken by Allah from the believing person, and He admits him into Paradise.'"

Once Sa'd, with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, visited a woman in front of whom were some date-stones or pebbles which she was using as a rosary to glorify Allah. He (the Prophet) said: I tell you something which would be easier (or more excellent) for you than that. He said (it consisted of saying): "Glory be to Allah" as many times as the number of that which He has created in Heaven; "Glory be to Allah" as many times as the number of that which He has created on Earth; "Glory be to Allah" as many times as the number of that which He has created between them; "Glory be to Allah" as many times as the number of that which He is creating; "Allah is most great" a similar number of times; "Praise (be to Allah)" a similar number of times; and "There is no god but Allah" a similar number of times; "There is no might and no power except in Allah" a similar number of times. [Machine] I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a gathering when a man came and greeted the Prophet ﷺ and the people. He said, "Peace be upon you all." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "And peace be upon you, and the mercy of Allah, and His blessings." After the man sat down, the Prophet ﷺ said, "Praise be to Allah, who deserves abundant, good, and blessed praise, as our Lord loves and is pleased with." The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "How did you say it?" The man replied exactly as the Prophet ﷺ had said. Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, ten angels hastened to write it down, all of them eager to do so. They did not know how to write it, so they returned it to the Possessor of Majesty, Exalted is His remembrance. He said, 'Write it as My servant said.'

If he says: 'La illah illallah, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu (There is none worthy of worship except Allah, all dominion is His and all praise is to Him),' Allah says: 'My slave has spoken the truth; there is none of worthy of worship except I, all dominion Mine and all praise is due to Me.' If he says: ' La illaha illallah, la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (There is none worthy of worship and there is no power and no strength except with Allah),' Allah says: 'My slave has spoken then truth; there is none worthy of worship except I, and tehre is no power and no strength except with Me.' One of the narrators Abu Ishaq said: "Then Agharr (another narrator) said something that I did not understand. I said to Abu Jafar: 'What did he say?'
