Jabir reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the wrapping of oneself completely leaving no room for the arm and supporting oneself when sitting with a single garment wrapped round one's knees and a person raising one of his feet and placing it on the other while lying on his back. الحاكم:٧٧٠٢ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ الْعَنَزِيُّ ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ اشْتِمَالِ الصَّمَّاءِ وَأَنْ يَرْفَعَ الرَّجُلُ إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى وَهُوَ مُسْتَلْقٍ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited Ishtimal As-Samma, Al-Ihtiba in one garment, and that a man raise one of his feet atop the other while he is reclining on his back."  

Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.
