HAKIM 8738:
from Sulaymān b. ʿAmr al-ʿUtwārī —
[Machine] Laith narrated to me from the corner of Abu Sa'id, from Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The Siraat (bridge over Hell) will be placed between the Paradise and Hell. It will have hooks like thorns as that of Sa'dan tree. Then, the people will pass over it like the blinking of an eye, a Muslim will be saved, while a person mutilated and torn by it will be detained therein. Some will be pushed towards the Fire, and some will be pulled towards it. When Allah Almighty finishes settling the affairs between His creation, and all the believers have been examined, a group of people who were praying with our prayers, paying our Zakat, fasting our fasts, and making our pilgrimage, will then say, 'O our Lord! Our brethren used to pray with us, fast with us and also perform pilgrimage with us, but we cannot see them.' Allah will say, 'Go to the Fire and take out anyone you find there, then bring them out.' The Prophet said, "So they will go to the Fire and take out those whom they can recognize, and then they will take out on their faces those whom they have to recognize by their faces, until when they will be few, they will recognize them easily by their features. Then they will bring them to the water of life (Hawd) and resurrect them as a seed which is sown near a water channel. The Prophet added, "They will come out like pearls with pearls in their mouths, and they will have gold and pearls on their bodies. The Prophet added, "The people of Jannah will recognize them." The Prophet added, "Allah will come to them and say, 'O people of Jannah!' They will say, 'We are present, our Lord! And all the goodness is in Your Hands.' Allah will say, 'Are you satisfied?' They will say, 'Why shouldn't we be satisfied, O our Lord, when You have given us what You have not given to any of Your created beings?' He will say, 'Shall I not give you something even better than that?' They will reply, 'O our Lord! What could be better than that?' He will say, 'I bestow My Pleasure on you and will never be angry with you after this.'"
