The Prophet ﷺ increased his istighfar before his passing

bukhari:4967 – al-Ḥasan b. al-Rabīʿ > Abū al-Aḥwaṣ > al-Aʿmash > Abū al-Ḍuḥā > Masrūq > ʿĀʾishah

The Prophet ﷺ did not perform any prayer after "When the help of Allah and the conquest come" had been revealed to him except that he would say in it:

subḥānaka rabbanā wa-bi-ḥamdik, allāhumma ighfirlī

(Glory be to You, our Lord, and praise be to You. O Allah, forgive me.)

البخاري:٤٩٦٧ – حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ قَالَتْ

مَا صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ صَلاَةً بَعْدَ أَنْ نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ ﴿إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ﴾ إِلاَّ يَقُولُ فِيهَا: «سُبْحَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَبِحَمْدِكَ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي».

[Machine] When the victory of Allah and the conquest come (i.e., when the help of Allah and the conquest of Makkah occurred), the Prophet ﷺ used to frequently say: "Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika Allahumma, ighfir li innaka antat-Tawwab (Glory be to You, O Allah, and all praise is due to You, O Allah, forgive me for You are the Most Forgiving.)"
