Saʿid bin Jubair said that Ibn ʿAbbas said about Al-Kauthar. "That is the good which Allah has bestowed upon His Apostle." I said to Saʿid bin Jubair. "But the people claim that it is a river in Paradise." Saʿid said, "The river in Paradise is part of the good which Allah has bestowed on His Apostle."  

البخاري:٤٩٦٦حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الْكَوْثَرِ هُوَ الْخَيْرُ الَّذِي أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ إِيَّاهُ قَالَ أَبُو بِشْرٍ قُلْتُ لِسَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ النَّاسَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُ نَهَرٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ النَّهَرُ الَّذِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ الَّذِي أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ إِيَّاهُ

The word 'Al-Kauthar' means the abundant good which Allah gave to him (the Prophet ﷺ Muhammad). Abu Bishr said: I said to Saʿid, "Some people claim that it (Al-Kauthar) is a river in Paradise." Saʿid replied, "The river which is in Paradise is one item of that good which Allah has bestowed upon him (Muhammad).

[Machine] "Al-Kawthar, a great abundance that Allah has given to him." Abu Bashr said, "I said to Sa'id, some people claim that it is a river in Paradise." Sa'id replied, "And the river is from abundant goodness."  

الحاكم:٣٩٧٩أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عِصْمَةَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْعَدْلُ ثنا أَبِي ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَنْبَأَ هُشَيْمٌ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو بِشْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ {إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ} [الكوثر 1] قَالَ

«الْكَوْثَرُ الْخَيْرُ الْكَثِيرُ الَّذِي أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ إِيَّاهُ» قَالَ أَبُو بِشْرٍ فَقُلْتُ لِسَعِيدٍ إِنَّ أُنَاسًا يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُ نَهَرٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَقَالَ «وَالنَّهَرُ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ الْكَثِيرِ»  

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ فَأَمَّا قَوْلُهُ ﷻ {فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ} [الكوثر 2] فَقَدِ اخْتَلَفَ الصَّحَابَةُ فِي تَأْوِيلِهَا وَأَحْسَنُهَا مَا رُوِيَ عَنْ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ فِي رِوَايَتَيْنِ الْأُولَى مِنْهُمَا مَاعلى شرط البخاري ومسلم
