That she borrowed a necklace from Asma' and it was lost. Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent some of his companions to look for it. During their journey the time of prayer was due and they prayed without ablution. When they returned to the Prophet ﷺ they complained about it. So the Divine Verse of Tayammum was revealed. Usaid bin Hudair said (to ʿAisha), "May Allah reward you handsomely. By Allah, whenever you have a difficulty, Allah took you out of it and brought with it, a Blessing for the Muslims."  

أَنَّهَا اسْتَعَارَتْ مِنْ أَسْمَاءَ قِلاَدَةً فَهَلَكَتْ فَأَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَاسًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فِي طَلَبِهَا فَأَدْرَكَتْهُمُ الصَّلاَةُ فَصَلَّوْا بِغَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ فَلَمَّا أَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ شَكَوْا ذَلِكَ إِلَيْهِ فَنَزَلَتْ آيَةُ التَّيَمُّمِ فَقَالَ أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ جَزَاكِ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا فَوَاللَّهِ مَا نَزَلَ بِكِ أَمْرٌ قَطُّ إِلاَّ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَكِ مِنْهُ مَخْرَجًا وَجَعَلَ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ فِيهِ بَرَكَةً  

That she borrowed a necklace from Asma' and then it got lost. So Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent some people from his companions in search of it. In the meantime the stated time for the prayer became due and they offered their prayer without ablution. When they came to the Prophet, they complained about it to him, so the Verse regarding Tayammum was revealed . Usaid bin Hudair said, "(O ʿAisha!) may Allah bless you with a good reward, for by Allah, never did a difficulty happen in connection with you, but Allah made an escape from it for you, and brought Allah's Blessings for the Muslims."  

أَنَّهَا اسْتَعَارَتْ مِنْ أَسْمَاءَ قِلاَدَةً فَهَلَكَتْ فَأَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَاسًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فِي طَلَبِهَا فَأَدْرَكَتْهُمُ الصَّلاَةُ فَصَلَّوْا بِغَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ فَلَمَّا أَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ شَكَوْا ذَلِكَ إِلَيْهِ فَنَزَلَتْ آيَةُ التَّيَمُّمِ فَقَالَ أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ جَزَاكِ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا فَوَاللَّهِ مَا نَزَلَ بِكِ أَمْرٌ قَطُّ إِلاَّ جَعَلَ لَكِ مِنْهُ مَخْرَجًا وَجُعِلَ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ فِيهِ بَرَكَةٌ  

May Allah grant you a good reward! Never has been there an occasion when you were beset with difficulty and Allah did not make you come out of that and made it an occasion of blessing for the Muslims.

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Usaid bin Hudair and some other people to look for a necklace that 'Aishah had left behind in a place where she had stopped (while traveling). The time for prayer came and they did not have Wudu', and they could not find any water, so they prayed without Wudu'. They mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Allah, the Mighty and Sublime revealed the verse of Tayammum. Usaid bin Hudair said: 'May Allah reward you with good, for by Allah, nothing ever happened to you that you dislike, but Allah makes it good for you and the Muslims.'"  

بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أُسَيْدَ بْنَ حُضَيْرٍ وَنَاسًا يَطْلُبُونَ قِلاَدَةً كَانَتْ لِعَائِشَةَ نَسِيَتْهَا فِي مَنْزِلٍ نَزَلَتْهُ فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلاَةُ وَلَيْسُوا عَلَى وُضُوءٍ وَلَمْ يَجِدُوا مَاءً فَصَلُّوا بِغَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ ﷻ آيَةَ التَّيَمُّمِ قَالَ أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ جَزَاكِ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا فَوَاللَّهِ مَا نَزَلَ بِكِ أَمْرٌ تَكْرَهِينَهُ إِلاَّ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَكِ وَلِلْمُسْلِمِينَ فِيهِ خَيْرًا

Aisha said, "I borrowed a necklace from Asma' and it was lost. So Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a man to search for it and he found it. Then the time of the prayer became due and there was no water. They prayed (without ablution) and informed Messenger of Allah ﷺ about it, so the verse of Tayammum was revealed." Usaid bin Hudair said to ʿAisha, "May Allah reward you. By Allah, whenever anything happened which you did not like, Allah brought good for you and for the Muslims in that." (Using translation from Bukhārī 336)

[Machine] She borrowed a necklace from Asma and it fell from her neck. She mentioned it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , so he sent men to look for it and they found it. The prayer started, so they prayed without purification. Then they returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him about it. Allah revealed the concession and said, "Usayd ibn Hudayr, may Allah reward you well. By Allah, no matter what you dislike, Allah will make it good for you and for the believers."  

أَنَّهَا اسْتَعَارَتْ قِلَادَةً مِنْ أَسْمَاءَ فَسَقَطَتْ مِنْ عُنُقِهَا فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَرْسَلَ رِجَالًا يَبْتَغُونَهَا فَابْتَغَوْهَا فَوَجَدُوا فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَصَلَّوْا بِغَيْرِ طُهُورٍ ثُمَّ رَجَعُوا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ الرُّخْصَةَ فَقَالَ أُسَيْدُ بْنُ حُضَيْرٍ جَزَاكِ اللهُ خَيْرًا فَوَاللهِ مَا نَزَلَ بِكِ أَمْرٌ تَكْرَهِينَهُ إِلَّا جَعَلَ اللهُ لَكِ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ خَيْرًا
