The Prophet ﷺ used to perform Iʿtikaf every year in the month of Ramadan for ten days, and when it was the year of his death, he stayed in Iʿtikaf for twenty days.
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ فِي كُلِّ رَمَضَانَ عَشْرَةَ أَيَّامٍ فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْعَامُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ اعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا
The Prophet ﷺ used to observe I'tikaf during ten days of Ramadan every year. But when the year in which he died, he observed I'tikaf for twenty days.
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ كُلَّ رَمَضَانَ عَشَرَةَ أَيَّامٍ فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْعَامُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ اعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا
"The Prophet would perform I'tikaf during the last ten (nights) of Ramadan. One year he did not perform I'tikaf, so he performed I'tikaf for twenty (nights) in the following year."
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَلَمْ يَعْتَكِفْ عَامًا فَلَمَّا كَانَ فِي الْعَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ اعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ
“The Prophet ﷺ used to observe I’tikaf for ten days every year. In the year in which he passed away, he observed I’tikaf for twenty days. And the Qur’an would be reviewed with him once every year, but in the year in which he passed away, it was reviewed with him twice.”
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ كُلَّ عَامٍ عَشْرَةَ أَيَّامٍ فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْعَامُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ اعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا وَكَانَ يُعْرَضُ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ مَرَّةً فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْعَامُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ

[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ, it was narrated that he used to observe i'tikaf during the last ten days of the month of Ramadan. But in the year he passed away, he observed i'tikaf for twenty days.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْعَامُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ اعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ
[Machine] The translation of the given Arabic text into English is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to observe I'tikaf during the last ten days (of Ramadan), but when it was the year in which he passed away, he observed I'tikaf for twenty days."
«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْعَامُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ اعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا»
Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to practice Iʿtikaf in the last ten days of the month of Ramadan. (Using translation from Bukhārī 2025)

“The Prophet ﷺ used to observe I’tikaf for ten days every year. In the year in which he passed away, he observed I’tikaf for twenty days. [Machine] The passage translates to: "It is narrated from the Prophet ﷺ that he used to observe itikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan. However, in the year he passed away, he observed itikaf for twenty days."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ «يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْعَامُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ اعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ»
