٦٠۔٥٢ بَابُ: {أَمْ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْكَهْفِ وَالرَّقِيمِ}
[AI] The cave is an opening in the mountain, and al-Raqīm is the inscription; marked, written from writing. {We bound firmly their hearts} means We inspired them with patience. {Shatatā} means excess. Al-waṣīd is the courtyard, its plural being waṣāʾid and wuṣud; and it is also said that al-waṣīd means the door. {Closed over} means shut tight. Āṣada the door and awṣada. {We raised them up} means We brought them to life. {Azkā} means more profitable. So God sealed their ears, and they slept. {Guessing at the unseen} means what is not clearly known. Mujāhid said: {It passes by them} means it leaves them.
