[Machine] "And the most beloved act of fasting to Allah is the fasting of David. He used to sleep half of the night and stay awake for a third of it, and then sleep a sixth of it. وَأَحَبُّ الصِّيَامِ إِلَى اللَّهِ صِيَامُ دَاوُدَ، كَانَ يَنَامُ نِصْفَ اللَّيْلِ وَيَقُومُ ثُلُثَهُ، وَيَنَامُ سُدُسَهُ، وَيَصُومُ يَوْمًا، وَيُفْطِرُ يَوْمًا. قَالَ عَلِيٌّ وَهْوَ قَوْلُ عَائِشَةَ مَا أَلْفَاهُ السَّحَرُ عِنْدِي إِلاَّ نَائِمًا.
