[Machine] Mujahid said, "Understanding is in the decree." Do not be extravagant. "Guide us to the straight path. Indeed, this is my brother. He has ninety-nine ewes." It is said to a woman, "ewes," and it is also said to her "ewe." "And I have one ewe, so he said, 'Trust it to me.'" Like when Zakariyya entrusted it. "And he honored me. He overcame me, became dearer to me, and I made him precious." In the speech, it is said, "dialogue." He said, "Indeed, he has wronged you by asking for your ewe in exchange for his ewes, and indeed, many partners oppress each other." They seek to go astray in what he said, "Indeed, We have tested him." Ibn Abbas said, "We tested him." And Umar read it as, "We tested him with the emphasis on the Taa." "So he sought forgiveness from his Lord, and fell down bowing, and turned in repentance."

قَالَ مُجَاهِدٌ الْفَهْمُ فِي الْقَضَاءِ. {وَلاَ تُشْطِطْ} لاَ تُسْرِفْ {وَاهْدِنَا إِلَى سَوَاءِ الصِّرَاطِ إِنَّ هَذَا أَخِي لَهُ تِسْعٌ وَتِسْعُونَ نَعْجَةً} يُقَالُ لِلْمَرْأَةِ نَعْجَةٌ، وَيُقَالُ لَهَا أَيْضًا شَاةٌ، {وَلِي نَعْجَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَقَالَ أَكْفِلْنِيهَا} مِثْلُ: {وَكَفَلَهَا زَكَرِيَّاءُ} ضَمَّهَا {وَعَزَّنِي} غَلَبَنِي، صَارَ أَعَزَّ مِنِّي، أَعْزَزْتُهُ جَعَلْتُهُ عَزِيزًا. {فِي الْخِطَابِ} يُقَالُ الْمُحَاوَرَةُ. {قَالَ لَقَدْ ظَلَمَكَ بِسُؤَالِ نَعْجَتِكَ إِلَى نِعَاجِهِ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِنَ الْخُلَطَاءِ} الشُّرَكَاءِ {لَيَبْغِي} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: {أَنَّمَا فَتَنَّاهُ}. قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ اخْتَبَرْنَاهُ. وَقَرَأَ عُمَرُ فَتَّنَّاهُ بِتَشْدِيدِ التَّاءِ {فَاسْتَغْفَرَ رَبَّهُ وَخَرَّ رَاكِعًا وَأَنَابَ}.
