The Prophet ﷺ said, "No 'Adwa (no contagious disease is conveyed to others without Allah's permission), nor Tiyara, but I like the good Fal, i.e., the good word."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَأْلُ الصَّالِحُ الْكَلِمَةُ الْحَسَنَةُ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no 'Adwa, nor Tiyara, nor Hama, nor Safar."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ وَلاَ هَامَةَ وَلاَ صَفَرَ

There is no transitive disease, no divination, but I like good words.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ وَأُحِبُّ الْفَأْلَ الصَّالِحَ

There is no transitive disease, no hama, no divination, but I like good omen.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ هَامَةَ وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ وَأُحِبُّ الْفَأْلَ الصَّالِحَ

“The Prophet ﷺ said: ‘There is no ‘Adwa* and no omen, but I like Al-Fa’l As-Salih.”**

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ وَأُحِبُّ الْفَأْلَ الصَّالِحَ

“There is no ‘Adwa, no omen, no Hamah and no Safar.”*

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ وَلاَ هَامَةَ وَلاَ صَفَرَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ وَلَا هَامَةَ وَلَا حَسَدَ وَالْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ

Note: The majority of scholars interpret this to mean that these things in and of themselves do not transmit or cause harm through supernatural or hidden means but that Allah is ultimately in control and any fearful superstition around these is false. "لا عَدْوَى وَلا طِيَرَةَ، وَلا هَامَةَ، وَلا صَفَرَ، وَلا غُولَ".

"لا عَدْوَى، وَلا طِيَرَةَ، وَلا هَامَةَ".
