A person visited his brother in another town and Allah deputed an Angel to wait for him on his way and when he came to him he said: Where do you intend to go? He said: I intend to go to my brother in this town. He said: Have you done any favour to him (the repayment of which you intend to get)? He said: No, excepting this that I love Mm for the sake of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious. Thereupon he said: I am a meesenger to you from, Allah: (to inform you) that Allah loves you as you love him (for His sake).

Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "A man visited a brother of his in a village, so Allah put an angel in wait for him on the road. He asked, 'Where are you going?' He replied, 'To a brother of mine in this village.' He said, 'Is he responsible for some blessing you have?' He said, 'No, I love him for Allah.' He said, 'I am a messenger of Allah to you. Allah loves you as you love him.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ زَارَ رَجُلٌ أَخًا لَهُ فِي قَرْيَةٍ فَأَرْصَدَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مَلَكًا عَلَى مَدْرَجَتِهِ فَقَالَ أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ؟ قَالَ أَخًا لِي فِي هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ فَقَالَ هَلْ لَهُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ تَرُبُّهَا؟ قَالَ لاَ إِنِّي أُحِبُّهُ فِي اللهِ قَالَ فَإِنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ إِلَيْكَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَحَبَّكَ كَمَا أَحْبَبْتَهُ

"إِنّ رَجُلًا زَارَ أخًا لَهُ في قرية أُخرى فأرصد اللَّهُ له على مَدْرَجَتِهِ ملكًا، فلَمَّا أتى عليه قال: أَيْنَ تُريدُ؟ قال: أُريد أخًا لى في هذه الْقَرْيَةِ، فقالَ لَهُ: هَلْ لَهَ عليك من نعمة تَربُهَا ؟ قَالَ: لَا غيرَ أَنِّى أحْببتهُ للَّه ! قال فَإِنِّى رسولُ اللَّهِ إِليك بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ قد أَحبِّكَ كما أحْبَبْتَهُ فِيه".
