البزّار:٣١٨٩ – وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ نَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ مَوْلَى الْمُنْبَعِثِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ

صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ اللُّقَطَةِ فَقَالَ احْفَظْ عِفَاصَهَا وَوِكَاءَهَا ثُمَّ عَرِّضْهَا سَنَةً ثُمَّ إِنْ جَاءَ صَاحِبُهَا فَرُدَّهَا إِلَيْهِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , was asked about the stray animal, so he said: Define it for a year, then if it still remains unknown, define its look and its marks, and then consume it all. But if its owner comes, return it to him.

البيهقي:١٢٠٥٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي وَغَيْرُهُمَا قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ أنبأ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ

سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ اللُّقَطَةِ فَقَالَ عَرِّفْهَا سَنَةً فَإِنْ لَمْ تُعْتَرَفْ فَاعْرِفْ عِفَاصَهَا وَوِكَاءَهَا ثُمَّ كُلْهَا فَإِنْ جَاءَ صَاحِبُهَا فَارْدُدْهَا إِلَيْهِ
