البزّار:٣٠٤٠ – حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ جَاءَتْ بَنُو تَمِيمٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ

رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبْشِرُوا يَا بَنِي تَمِيمٍ قَالُوا إِذْ بَشَّرْتَنَا فَأَعْطِنَا فَتَغَيَّرَ وَجْهُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَاءَ نَاسٌ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ فَقَالَ اقْبَلُوا الْبُشْرَى إِذْ لَمْ يَقْبَلْهَا بَنُو تَمِيمٍ قَالُوا قَدْ قَبِلْنَاهَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا يَرْوِيهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ إِلَّا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ وَلَا نَعْلَمُ لَهُ طَرِيقًا غَيْرَ هَذَا الطَّرِيقِ وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ

The people of Banu Tamim came to Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "Be glad (i.e. have good tidings). O Banu Tamim!" They said, "As you have given us good tidings then give us (some material things)." On that the features of Messenger of Allah ﷺ changed (i.e. he took it ill). Then some people from Yemen came, and the Prophet ﷺ said (to them) "Accept good tidings as Banu Tamim have not accepted them." They said, "We accept them, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ!"
